10440 "mini" pen laser?

I haven't seen them sold like that, but you can pop out the silver piece on the end of the battery tube of a standard newwish and then cut the tube and put it back in.

but the back silver piece is the tailcap and it "screws" on
and i dont have access or the craftsmanship to lathe on the screw pattern on the tube that i cut

THANK YOU!
lol
i overlooked them and thought they were the "dollar store" ones with button cells
:thanks:

No problem!

Strange, though I'm sure neither are anywhere near spec, it's odd that the "100mW" is priced higher than the "150mW".

Does anyone have experience with either pointer?

I don't have the ones from Dino, but I do have one exactly like that...

Small Key Chain Green Laser

It puts out ~80-90mW total, with ~15mW of that being IR. Nice little laser IMHO. Divergence is pretty bad, but for pointing at stars it's noticeable.

Not sure if it burns anything... never tried... I would imagine should smoke anything black easily.

Max says once the current stock he has is gone, they will not be replaced.... the units going out are being tested, and apparently many do have issues and are being sent back to manufacturer.

Well. I ordered the 200mW key-chain one a few months ago from Focalprice, and the one they sent never peaked above 70mW and got really hot after less than a minute on.
I got an RMA and sent it back (they required metering video), and they sent me one that peaked at 150mW and didn't get hot. (took over 2 months for whole process)
The divergence is very poor on these and it is near impossible to fix. The pointers are set up for up-close burning and the dot on a wall only 50 feet away is baseball sized. :(

^^^How much of the 150mW is IR?

IMHO they are pretty decent lasers, but divergence does suck. Also did you have to ship back to china, or do they have a warehouse here in US?

My understanding is that Lazeerer is just a DinoDirect dropshipper. Same product, slightly higher price. Is that not correct?

Haven't checked IR (I will check next weekend, when at home)
I had to ship it back to China. (it was Focalprice)

Not sure. I think laserer actually handles the products (and LPM them), so they are not really a "drop" shipper. :o

I don't think they are directly related. Wouldn't surprise me to learn otherwise, but for the moment imo they are independent.

Shipping to china is very expensive though... $34 last time I did it... more than the laser is worth. Did the cover return shipping? How did you ship?

Shipping was about $20 including insurance (which was used for tracking), and FP covered some of it by giving me a $15 coupon to their site.

Mini enough ? Its a 445nm/1.2W Peak Monster
