1-1.3 watt 445nm Laser Packages **ONLY $190 SHIPPED IN THE US**

Re: 1-1.2 watt 445nm Complete Laser Packages **LOW COST** $160-200

These seem good. I ordered one on Thursday afternoon, and it arrived Saturday.

I don't have a meter to measure the power, but I was using the brown interior of the cardboard box it shipped in as a non-reflective, non-valuable target a few feet away, to play around with the focusing. I unintentionally set the box on fire in a few seconds whilst experimenting with the focusing.

LOL...I was demonstrating one of our higher-powered units for my son on Saturday and also accidentally set a small box on fire. :D

I just received my Garoq laser and it is everything you could ask for in a 445 laser. I was sitting in direct sunlight in my kitchen and you could see the beam through the sunlight. The laser itself it well made and the machined parts are very well made (good finish, no burs... etc.) Thanks Garoq its now one of my favorites for sure!

Very easy to assemble laser. I absolutely love the host. how much are the eagle pair safety glasses?

I want one of those extension tubes when you get them ready! Not only for the extra juice but it looks great and maybe even more comfortable to hold in my big hands.

This build is not only a laser worth having but also a good bridge for future hobbyists from pre-constructed commercial units to true DIY builds. Here are my impressions that can be expanded into a formal review if there is interest (this will bump up the thread for now):

The kit sold from Survival Laser is complete with all the components for the working laser as well as rechargeable batteries, a charger, an allen wrench for fixing the module in the heat sink, and goggles that would be needed by those relatively new with lasers. (Kits are also available without the batteries, charger, and goggles for those who already have them.) The instructions are clear, and the unit assembles smoothly and quickly into the working model. My final unit metered as 1130 mW at room temperature and freshly charged batteries which places it well on par with 445 nm lasers available on the LPF.

Though many LPF members will eschew the semi-assembly build of this laser, it does give new hobbyists a look “under the hood” of a diode laser without having to risk disassembly of pre-constructed units. (Notably, Yorbresal has an understandingly large warning at the top of his sale thread warning those who purchase his lasers not to disassemble them due to the damage that usually results.) The Survival Laser design can demystify the key laser components for a curious pre-DIY hobbyist who can examine each piece first-hand and compare it to what is described in the many assembly tutorials on the LPF board.

The modular design of the Survival Laser could easily lend itself readily to other diode modules allowing offerings of 650 and 405 nm models as well as 445 nm. It would not be hard to imagine the company web site offers pill/driver/module units that could be reversibly swapped into the host. This simple business model has a lot of promise.

Survival Laser has proven to be pleasantly responsible and quick. After my payment through PayPal, the order was shipped by priority mail the same day and arrived in good shape. The kit itself was professionally and securely packed.

Overall, I recommend purchase of the Survival Laser and look forward to their future offerings.

Drooling also.....

Re: 1-1.2 watt 445nm Complete Laser Packages **LOW COST**

whats the duty cycle on it?

Re: 1-1.2 watt 445nm Complete Laser Packages **LOW COST**

whats the duty cycle on it?

1 minute on/off with the aluminum heat sink, 2-3 minutes with the copper heat sink. Some have run them for much longer without any reported problems.

Re: 1-1.2 watt 445nm Complete Laser Packages **LOW COST**

Update: All goggles are in stock.

What is the current price of the kit with extension tubes? Can I get the batteries from you as well? Does it come with the diode? Is the 1.2 watt the most powerful diode you support in this configuration?
Thanks,
Greg

My LPF member pricing is subject to change so that is why I ask that interested members PM me for current prices. The 445nm laser bundles can be viewed here:

Laser Parts Bundles

They include all the parts and accessories listed. The extension tubes are not yet available but should be within a week or two as an accessory. Yes the complete bundles come with the diode & batteries. And yes, the 1-1.2 watt is the most powerful configuration currently available.
