if I got it right an OD of 2.5 wont be enough with this baby,
at least 3.5 or 4 is needed to be on the safe side, correct?

OD 2.5 is better than nothing.

Exposure time to static beam until failure (>5mW light leakage) from 650mW 445nm laser - 38 seconds

They will still handle some 445nm.

Ideally they should be higher.

look on ebay . theres a chinese seller selling the red goggles for $7/usd .
they work and the 445 just appears as a mostly faint grey/green dot ...
i bought 2 pair .
its all you need .

just a warning through, I have read mixed things about the laser protection glasses from ebay

i dunno the od but they work and 1-watt 445 for ex. is greatly squeltched.
you can look at whatever you're burning with no problems and no after-images .
i dont own a light meter .
but go ahead spend your money on expensive ones, if you want .

With out a light meter you can't really recommend things like that. If you tested them then ok but it's seems you have not.

there is a whole section of the forum for safety discussion and many threads which contain info on specific goggles/glasses.I would read through some of those threads before you buy your glasses.otherwise you may not get adequate protection.

Is there any kind servicing you offer on these lasers?
(ex: diode extinguishes, Send laser + money(for new diode/service) to yob for repair)
If not, will you eventually be releasing a service guide on how to replace parts?

there are people on this very forum, i wont name names , that are buying those from that seller in China and re-selling them on their websites and here sometimes for 5 times as much money ... eliminate the greedy middle-man !
