Re: 1-1.2 watt 445nm lasers CHEAP $180 ****OUT OF STOCK****

PM sent hope im not too late

Re: 1-1.2 watt 445nm lasers CHEAP $180 ****OUT OF STOCK****

Thanks Yobresal. The laser arrived promptly without any problems. Build quality is excellent. It exceeds the burning capability of my 600+ mW pgl iii-c 532nm as one would expect. Going to wait for nightfall for more extensive testing.

Hey Heirophant, you are in the right ballpark. It's actually phi or the golden mean but
Phi and pi and Fibonacci numbers can be related in several ways.

I'm sure you'll get your yob laser really soon. I ordered on Wednesday and it arrived Friday. That's fast!

Re: 1-1.2 watt 445nm lasers CHEAP $180 ****OUT OF STOCK****

It would seem to me that focusing would be easier (safer!) if the knurled knob was a larger diameter. Not complaining by any means, just pondering ...

Ahhh ok Fibonacci ... I knew it was something like that ...
the "fibonacci sequence" and all that ...

hey sorry to be Mr. Newbie but --- which direction do the batteries go in this ?

fired up the Yob 445 ... first impression is that it's definetly not as intense/bright as 532/green ... but this is common laser knowledge but seeing it on action is like "hmm wow, ok " ... I'd be curious to see what 5 watts of 445 looks like at that rate ...
Been tweaking the focus ring some ... it's a big fat rectangle beam when not focused, tight ...
Yob - I wonder if you might start working on a 2-watt (or higher) unit ?!
Put me down for one , if you do :takeit:

it seems to go brighter after i've switched it on a few times and off ... warmed up or whatever...
my dig. cam is able to capture beam shots easier than it will with my green/532 ...
i want a tripod for the cam and the laser , next ... i'm going to take some ILM-worthy beam - shots soon ..

445 nano-meter Blue laser on Twitpic

Curious what kind of run time you people that bought Yob's 445 are getting on 1 charge of batteries ?
