    Spare Parts Availability Important?

Or read up like crazy and start small and work your way up on building your own. That would be the best option yet.

    MagicFire host "BigBoy"

I've been talking with Ric again on maybe doing a group buy on the Magicfire host as seen here. I've got 2 host empty ready to go into a build (future 1W 520nm) but these are great for use with Lazeerer SXB driver for the higer current builds (parallel batt.) as his post on some of his...

    NUBM44 6W+ 450nm Laser Diode

Maybe the way to do this is paralleling 2 fixed xboost drivers just to split the heatload on the drivers

    NUBM44 6W+ 450nm Laser Diode

I think because it's a little more forgiving on solder joints once your stuffing the bits back together.

    NUBM44 6W+ 450nm Laser Diode

Hey Angelos, my 44 build is drawing 9A at start up with the tailcap current test then drops to 8.3A stays stable although I have only run a couple minutes at a time I had to change out the switch and used a silver plated spring from a MOD kit. So basically you were right on I must have...

    Windows 10 , Have you?

Welp I have a dual external tv tuner that I use a lot and slingplayer as well but to schedule programs and get the bios in movies and such will not be supported as W10 has no media center support that's a no go on my home pc... but my window tab just might do it.

    NUBM44 6W+ 450nm Laser Diode

How about you 2 post your own build threads and leave this as an info gathering on the diode I'm going to unsubscribe as this seems to be moot now. Yes nice builds.

    NUBM44 6W+ 450nm Laser Diode

Try putting a load on it and measuring the current.

    NUBM44 6W+ 450nm Laser Diode

@ 5A that driver os going to get very warm I would suggest arctic thermal adhesive to the sink. If I read right your reading the current going to the driver from the power source, what you need to know is how much current is going to the diode. Having a testload capable of this is a challenge...
