Hey just out of curiosity....

I have the same laser and somehow I think the beam is quite thick compared to another laser (100mW Rayfoss) I have.
i didn't measure it exactly but it seems the beam tickness of the O-like is about twice as thick at aperture.

Did any of you also noticed that?

^ the 400mW one ? ..... it have a larger front lens and the lens intercept the beam far than from common modules, acting as a partial beam expander ..... so, yes, the beam is larger at the aperture, but probably have better divergence too.

Yes the 400mW Green Laser Torch. I think they ain't sell it anymore now on the shop.
But it's the same as the OP has.
It really has a big beam diameter like you said, acting as a beam expander^^

Do you know if this is because of the waterproof lens and also if you can channge the lens?

It's just because I really like the thin beams that the DPSS have :)

Waterproof lens doesn't really do anything for the beam...

This laser does produce a much thicker beam, but nowhere as bad as the 445's:D

If the waterproofing lens bothers you... you can remove it, but IMO it's not worth it/ruins the look of the laser.

Personally I also prefer super thin beams:can:
