I will find data sheet and add later.
The Jetlaser 10 X B.E. is now available for $180 during the GB #5 which will be wrappingf up very soon. Gb #6 will run from Aug 1st and wrap up roung Sept 1.
All pics made with JetlPl-Cs 625nm/200-405/500-532/250 and a Guideman 445/600.

Distance to movie screen ~ 9 ft.-- 3M

Choice of adapters- pl-c- or Ti pens(& and fits some thicker pointers)
There is another review in this board for the #X $130 and 5X $150.

Here is a vid that shows more including the circles and that with proper attachment thy are gone. btw I dont think there is sound to this video showing both Pl series lasers with the 10X JETLASERS BE.

Looks like something wrong, why the cirkels around the the dot, isn't it just supposed to make the beam fatter and the divergence lower??

This is not really a review either. Put some effort in Len, other wise this is just an ad. Whats your opinion? Are you OK with the circles? Whats the divergence at multiple points? Can you burn at a distance? How well does it fit the laser? What are the pros, and cons? ect, ect, ect.

Sorry this was not more. It was a rush job. I will add more asap. I just wanted to do what I could with what little time I have before the close of the current GB.

Whats your opinion? ********

My opinion, considering how little I know about BEs and optics, means little.
I have already noted all this in my previous thread on the other two Jetl BEs. I plan to send this BE to another members better versed in optics.
I have already done that with one of the other JetL BEs.

Are you OK with the circles?******

IDK what to say about the circles, everything I tried did not change that.
This consists of a fixed focus body ( the blue parts does not turn btw) and the adapter that affixes the BE to the front of the laser. I will do more pics tonite with the focus of the laser itself at different settings.

Whats the divergence at multiple points? Can you burn at a distance?***

I will work on that as well.

How well does it fit the laser?*****

It fits well the three screws need very little movement to make a tight fit.

What are the pros, and cons? ect, ect, ect.
*****

Again I am not qualified to give any kind of expert answers.

More later tonite-

Thank you for your comments. hak

*Edit-- I just did a quick check before leaving for work(will do pics tonite)
I will do side-by-side with same lasers. But for now- I do not see the outer circle going away and any focus however it is less visible with the focus extended somewhat. And the divergance looks much better at that setting.
Please allow me a few hours to do this and I will post more tonite.---T Y

This really should just give you a larger beam diameter and lower divergence. I'm confused.

Hey everyone.
Sorry for the issue with 10x beam expander. The aperture for the input beam of the 10x expander is made to be very small, so as to make the output lens not too big. So, it's kinda small for the beam of portable lasers and the beam is not perfectly fit for the input aperture lens, so the edge of the bigger input beam reflects onto the lens and caused the unwanted ring around the beam spot.

I just tried on the 5x and 3x expanders which are with a bigger input aperture and this ring doesnot happen at all. I will ask the techs to solve this problem tomorrow.

Thanks! Have a nice day.

Thanks Gray

last night I tried again and if I put a little pressure making the BE fit even tighter to the front of the PL-C the ring pretty much goes away and I think any a greater distance with the focus properly adjusted you would not see much of that ring-

Thanks a lot to my friends who have been helping me get up to speed on BEs . Trevor especially.

As I live alone atm I am having a problems following the duty/rest cycle and taking pics at 15- 20 and 25 M. I have a friend coming out to help me do that soon- I will also do pics on the burning abilities at distance. When focused right it looks very good. I am liking BEs more every day--lol.

Thanks Len! Thanks Trevor for helping this!
Yes, there is probably some fitness problem which is supposed to happen more in 10X beam expander than 5x or 3x coz the aperture entrance lens of 3x/5x is bigger than 10x while any slight bigger(bigger than the REQUIRED entrance beam = 2-2.5mm)) would not make it not work well.

So one one hand, it might be said that the 10X BE is not made mainly for Portables or Laser pointers, esp. not for the ones with fatter beam.
On the other hand, since the adapters for pen and portables are made the same for 3x, 5x or 10x, it has its own flaws in imperfectly fitting each. But till now, it works well for 3x and 5x BE and it doesnot take much work to get rid of any burr.

Just wondering if any one has tested the edmund beam expander here: TECHSPEC® Fixed Power HeNe Beam Expanders - Edmund Optics and our 10x is nearly the same in most specs. They also require any input beam of lasers to be smaller than 2mm or 2.5mm.

So it's kinda upsetting when sometimes it cannot fit the fat input beam of portables. PL-C has decently smaller beam divergence but fat beam at aperture, so we have to pull the focus nearer to get thinner beam for fitting the 10x beam expander.

Hope my explanations make sense.
Since it cannot fit perfectly to the PL-C before one takes a while to adjust the beam diameter and the fitness of the adapters, we will make this clear in the GB section, just in case.
Thanks. :yh:

Ok here is the deal... I messed up. the 10X BE can be attached a little better and the circles(and cirkles) all but disappear. AND..when you change the focus of the PL-C ity gets nice and small and burns from a greater idistance. all i need to do the divergance is someone to turn my lasers on and off while i take the measurements- i need to follow my duty/rest cycles and cannot run fast enough to do that alone. BUT you will like the results. I am taking down my crappy first attempt pics.

once again sorry to all

Thanks a lot, Len.
The fitting issue is also kinda solved on my part. :

BUMP_- see link to video in the OP, on the JETLASERS 10X Beam Expander.

Compared with the cost of BEs from other makers this one is a very good deal, and it makes the laser itself look like a Crocadile Dundee Knife compared to other PLGs.--lol

The one I have has issues if you just "stick" it on there. If you take the time to securely and squarely attach it, it's fine. Just a side effect of a slip on design. For the price, I can spend an extra minute fiddling with it;) - Corbin
