Does anyone have a Geiger device for reading the CPM on theese marbles as well as for Tritium? I know they are safe and all but for my peace of mind :) I know that normal gamma radiation is about 20-30 CPM all around us, and some uranium glass has about 300 or so, but isn't dangerous till about 1000. If anyone could test this I would pretty much appreciate it.

I found some youtube links. Seems like the marbles go for 100-200 CPM gamma ray radiation (normal somehow, usually walking on the street gets you more CPM than holding these marbles) and the tritium about the same, sometime 300 CPM but x-ray radiation (X-rays are emitted by electrons outside the nucleus, while gamma rays are specifically emitted by the nucleus (that is, produced by gamma decay) ) light radiation from tritium is in form of x-ray and radiation from marbles is gamma, but they are within limits of normal radiation. So while there IS radiation from them, they are within normal limits. It's best to be informed I say :)

YouTube - Glowring Tritium Radiation

P.S. the tests for the tritium are made using tritium keychains witch have more plastic arround them, but then again the tritium quantity is more in these keychains than in host-inserts sold here. I am relaxed now, good to be informed. Thou take care, if you have any neodymium magnets that broke their metal shield it's best to be discarded. I just threw away my neocube magnets because I've seen some cracks on one of the balls.

When are you Ever Going Get any More of These Jayrob, is there anything in the Works? And this isn't a necro post, Jayrob said he would be working on this and it's relevant as other probably would like to know as well.

I've got 9/16" crackled marbles, but the 1" ones I can't find anymore...

I used to get the 1" translucent ones from e-bay, and then crackle them myself.

But all I can find in the 1" size now, are the opaque ones. We need the translucent ones...

I'm kinda curious as to how you "crackle" them? Tap them with a hammer? Is it a trade secret?

You just get them real hot in the oven, and then dump them in cold water...

Google it, it´s not that hard to crackle them.

The tricky thing is to crackle them `evenly´.
