Sorry for the alarming title - I'll edit it later if this proves to be a misguided post.

I'm just trying to get this up quickly, and thinking about the community here. Please point out if I've made an error.

Tried to go to the Aixiz site just now, and am getting the following HACKED notice:

warning.jpg

Again, I'll remove and edit this if I've made a mistake. Presuming the site was hacked, I would suggest avoiding placing any orders or giving them any personal details until they've acknowledged the hack, and re-secured their site.

Re: WARNING - Don't buy from Aixiz today

Interesting. I was on earlier, about 5 hrs ago, and noticed the site was very very slow but ok otherwise. Looks fine now but your link still brings up the weirdness. When I go to Aixiz it's aixiz.com/store but the link is aixiz.com/shop

Maybe a title edit(needs to be done using go advance) reflecting why. As you have it now someone may get the wrong idea. BTW AixiZ has been the victim of similar hacks before.

Normally I would not want to be the "vendor" posting but this is important. The site you should be using is either AixiZ Service & International, LLC. US Gov Licensed Dealer or www.aixiz.com/store .

/shop is an older site and I have our web guy taking care of that now.

Thanks for the heads up. FYI we did catch a person and the secret service is currently conducting an investigation (they were able to decode and find their gmail address in the log).

/store is secure.

Thanks and please feel free to call us with any questions 888-424-9491

So it was something to do with the /shop vs. /store. Glad that got sorted out. Good work Chuck

use this...
www.aixiz.com/store

or call toll free....'please feel free to call us with any questions 888-424-9491'

or even better, do both- place yr order then follow up with a call the next biz day. At least for the time being.

So just wondering, is this guy just hacking sites for fun just to see if he can, or does he have malicious intentions?

Re: Aixiz Hacked - be careful how you get there

Please forgive if this has truly been fixed, but you can see why I'm reluctant to test this again:

As of mid last week, there was still a problem - I got a snaggy-nasty from there somehow... that afternoon I had lowered my defences 'temporarily' to do something that the firewall was messing with... but of course forgot to reset when I was done.

Then at about 10pm went to Aixiz to look at lenses. Or thought I had - I just entered "Aixiz" in my FireFox address bar, and hit Enter - then nonsense started almost immediately, and it took a couple of days to get it mostly repaired. I still get an annoying batch of Internet Explorer script errors (I don't use IE)(yeah, I know it's part of the OS) but I can live with that until I fnd a way around it.

I can't resist adding: this is the first time I've ever gotten any infection in my systems!

If anyone also got hit, and knows how to fully recover, please clue me in.

DanQ
