Its all of the dollar a day stuff that people don't really need.
You can have 900+ channels to choose from for only a couple of bucks a day.
Cup of coffee on your way to work in the morning? Couple bucks a day
Car payment on a new vehicle because the last one was...OMG a couple years old? More $ per day.
I was starting to get into that mindset when graduating but then learned from my dad how to enjoy life without that kind of thing.
I generally work 3-4 months/year because I only have internet as my "dollar a day" expense.
Everything else is a tangible item.
Instead of getting a coffee at starbucks, buy a coffee maker.
Buy a preowned car instead of new, with a little elbow grease I replaced the ball joints, upper control arm bushings, u-joints and now have a great 3/4 ton truck that is like new but was only ~10% of the new cost.
Cell phones are the one that pisses me off the most, go in, get a contract, the girl at the counter says "$60/month if you don't go over your minutes" next bill comes...$75.... Went in and saw the same person "oh, I'll take care of that for you"...back down to $60.... Next bill comes....$89.... Slightly irate, I go back into the store "oh, I'll take care of that for you, should only be $60". I say: "Nope, cancel the whole thing". "You can't cancel, you signed a contract" *with a smug look*
Ok, I was finally pissed... In a calm voice I said "I entered a legally binding contract for $60/month, this company has charged over the specified amount more than once, my lawyer has already started building a case against the company and potentially you personally (he wasn't)"
Her reply? "How about we just terminate your contract?"
"That'll be fine"
Now I pay $25 every two months for a pay and talk cell phone that cost $40 at a pawn shop. I can throw it off a cliff whenever I like and that will be the end of it. ^_^
Wow, I ramble a lot. Sorry for the long, unrelated post. That's enough sugar for tonight.....

LOL shaddap!
I have the music blasting, a pizza in the oven, working out as hard as I can go (when I am not called back to the computer ^_^) and feelin' good.
My girlfriend just shakes her head and goes back to her book
If this is my mild reaction to sugar, I would explode if I tried anything stronger lol.

reported to help to speed healing of everything from sports injuries to nail fungus. Many studies use <200mW and call the lasers "cold lasers" I have sold several lasers to researchers and most were violet, ~408nm), but more 830 nm lasers are now ordered for such research on healing. ;) -Glenn

Other term is a "low level laser therapy". Does it work for everything. I don't know. However it helped me to heal (NOT TO BURN OUT) a wart on the hand with a ~50-mW red laser and a beam size similar to a wart size. I just shined several times and after a week or two noticed that it is gone.

Anyway I took a risk as a laser might turn on a growth process.
THUS DON'T DO THAT ON YOUR OWN at least without reading papers.

I've read the cold lasers heal faster, and infrared lasers making rat's skin more stronger to rupture/stabs. Poor rats, tho. they made a rat with a 50% more strong skin.

Thats horrible! they are just making there skin turn into scar tissue or more callus.

Honestly whats the test point? I don't see why we would need to have "stronger skin"? What is the real world application?

Years ago when I sold electronics, a guy asked for low power red laser diodes. He said he was using them for medical treatment. I started to say, "are you sure-" and he interrupts me and says, "No, they won't make you grow extra fingers, or deform you.." So I told him, "Uh, that's not what I was goind to say, I question whether a 0.5mW red laser would do ANYTHING to human skin at all."
Put these hucksters up there with people who do "live blood analysis."

@Krogith
horrible, I know. Dunno what they want there: maybe a super human or something similar..

@RichA
what you meant, really? That someone tricked the guy into "0.5mW is used on medical treatment"?

As Finn I could tell hours about the sauna and how its heat relax and so on...
There are also IR saunas which are just boxes whit IR sources inside. So heat besides IR is muscle relaxing and sure may relieve pain.

Conclusion. Violet laser, IMO it may be more plasebo than real deal.
IR, IR laser, heat, I believe in thermal treatments.

Hehe.. if you have foot fungus, get a cream from your doctor to cure that right up. Dont piss on your fet or point lasers at them.

In theory a bluray laser could do serious damage to mciroorganisms as well as to your own skin, so be very carefeul about it. You wouldnt aputate a toe for a fungal infection, now would you?!

The foot creams from you doc contain toxic chemicals and/or heavy metals.
Piss is free, convenient, washes right off, and works immediately...
...Yeah, I'm gonna go right out and buy some expensive cream

I'm a big fan of "simple solutions for simple problems". This one is a no brainer ;)

Did you seriously just discourage someone from seeing a medical professional? Because they will poison you with their "medicine"? Maybe you'd prefer to boycott the health system and have a life-expectancy of 30 years again?

laughable :undecided:

*A week ago* My girlfriend had an "overabundance" of a certain (non harmful) microorganism everyone has. She dutifully took her prescribed antibiotics and then asked me about them when she started feeling sick.
5 minutes of reading in my medical encyclopedias and another 3 online and I find out that this is one of the worst, most powerful antibiotics available today (in north america) and causes SEVERE complications including a high instance of causing cancer in lab animals. I told her that now she has taken some (she was 3/4 though the prescription) she should finish them because failing to do so is what causes antibiotic resistant bugs but she basically poisoned herself for no reason.
The doctor also said she should only have a pap test every 10 years.
Most doctors don't know jack.
We had a life expectancy of 30 years because of the brutal manual labor, lack of nutrition, lack of appropriate surgical techniques, and incredible lack of hygiene/sewage facilities.
I had a doctor look at my lips a few years ago because the skin was getting eaten away, he didn't do any tests he just sent me home with a prescription for valtrex (a herpes simplex *type 2* treatment) I went into the emergency room a couple days later because it got worse FAST and it turns out it was the flesh eating disease....Handy.
The surgeons there said they would have to amputate most of my upper and lower jaw as well as a bunch of other stuff.
I went home, took a scalpel and excised the tissue I saw affected, then I dosed the entire area with iodine crystals (they cauterize tissue as well as disinfect) and I still have a face.
My lips peel and crack really bad because it is basically just scar tissue but they are still here.
I wouldn't recommend this to anyone as the potential for re-infection is very high and I figured: If I'm going to lose most of my face and the ability to even eat solids I'll probably just kill myself instead of costing the country that much money and then ending it anyway.
Any info I get from ANY doctor I always get a second opinion from a pharmacist (or 2).
My opinion of docs is only slightly higher than my opinion of cops and I wouldn't piss on a cop if he was on fire.
I didn't discourage anyone of anything, I voiced my OPINION. If you mindlessly obey your doctor without any research go for it but remember: They are not there for your interests, they are there for their own. They are in it for the MONEY, Canadian docs get cash by writing prescriptions, getting you to visit more often, and they make no more money if you are there for 3 hours than if you left in 15 minutes.
I'm truly insulted by your "laughable" and would probably cuff you upside the head if you said that to me in person for voicing my opinion.
Completely unnecessary and deliberately rude.

Go read up on medical screw up's for a couple of days and then talk to me. The percentage of medical procedures that are done properly are VERY low and the number of unnecessary prescriptions is VERY high.

Honestly, I'm disabled from a car accident over 6 years ago. I trusted doctors and I was put thought things they would consider torture if I wasn't agreeing to it. I am no more fixed and they still can't tell me exactly whats wrong. Why do I have knife Jabs going down my spine and into my right leg.

Auto your correct, doctors nowadays do not know anything and for the most part are pushing things for $$. They push drugs from drug companies that just lobby to them and give them stuff. The more things you come in the more $$ in the system.

Now im not saying don't use them, but you better read the books your self and see what they said is true before you just start popping things and doing "tests". Other wise you will regret it as I do. Nothing wrong with getting your education on it before.
