New competition. StridAst and AnselmoFanZero (since you 2 seem to be getting on well) make a collaborative host, as do FlaminPyro and DTR (since they're currently top of the flashlight-mod vote) and then we vote those off against eachother... and then you both send both hosts to me. :D sound good?

Seriously though, i'm glad i've introduced you 2. Your work is awsome and unique and never ceases to impress even those who don't aren't so into lasers.

Its damn funny to shoot at cans :) maybe I AM too old for this, but wth. Even shooting styrofoam from several feet distance is fun.

I dont have a lathe...or a CNC, not even a standard mill. The materials I use are easy to get. Its metal-sheet. Pure and simple. No special parts or materials. The rings for example are made by a friend who has a lathe...but all the housings and pistol grips, even the ring-grip for the Halo Gauss Gun are made by me. I have a band-saw now, but it works without one as well...just slower.
The body of the CG for example fits real tight, and so all I need is a screw to fix it. You dont see the screw stickin out becaus I drilled a lil bed for it with a drill bit, which is as wide as the screws head. Pretty simple. If the sheet is not thick enough for this method, I solder a piece of sheet onto it....from the inner side...know what I mean? Nothing spectacular...when you have started, the ideas how to do this and that will come. Sooner or later...

If you have ideas, how about that: Mail me one of them you would like to see in real life most, and I will tell you how to start.

Just helping him out, he already voted so this is not for his vote ;-)

Very nice...thank you, your work always looks very good....I guess your skills are just up there!

AND...lol...no vote trading happening here:angel:

As much as I love several of these hosts, StridAst's sterling silver host is the most beautiful piece of art coupled with amazing functionality I have ever seen in the laser world. My vote has to go for that one.

Well...sad thing about it: Will be hard to come up with an even cooler host...
Always hard to increase on something real cool.

Well for now I am just excited who wins this. Already an honor that my host has taken the lead.

Sorry for the double post, but would you embed the new link? The Mk II version is even cooler than this old thing. Just noticed its the prototype-video.
Or add a pic of the new host maybe...would be cool.

Guys, just a reminder (and a sneaky little :bumpit:)... tonight is the last night of the poll, so get your votes in now or never!!

Good luck to all those entering. The final will be set up tomorrow as soon as I can be bothered. Just a reminder, just because you may not get through to the next round doesn't mean your host wasn't awsome. They're all worthy of recognition!

Thanks to whoever voted for that one at the last minute, I thought I
wasn't getting any vote at all.
That vote is a bold statement, considering all the other much more awesome lasers.:D
