Well a few days ago, my loved Jetlasers PGL 200, that actually gave >300mW AVG. vanished. I thought I had just mis-placed it until today when I got home, it was sitting on my porch all torn up. The head was removed, and the driver was torn out and hacked up... Pics to follow soon :( :yabbem::yabbem::yabbem:

I'm extremely sorry for your loss, and I suppose it couldn't have come at a worse time.

No need for the pics if you don't want to post them up.

I don't understand who would do such a thing, or why, for that matter.

:( :(

EDIT: Whoever did it did a damn good job. Why they would do it is beyond me.

I don't understand why anyone would do such a thing.

And that's why I do not host parties, shit happen. Jetlasers has really good customer service and I'm sure this problem will get resolved. Good luck.

Had a party a few days ago, my guess is that someone took it then, WHY? I have no idea, but I am very upset :tired:

But why would someone just take it? Of all the things they could have taken, they take your laser?

:(

Anyway, get yourself some sleep. It's getting late, and unfortunately there's not much you can do about it now.

There will always be assholes in the world.

In the best case scenario the head should be salvagable.

I gave my brother a free core that I won. Someone stole it off his desk at work while he was at lunch.. Hence don't leave your lasers lying around, because it's like leaving money out in the open. I would dust that laser for finger prints..Might show up quite well on that host.

Well, there's not much point in doing so.

You can't get the fingerprints of everyone at the party.

I doubt the police would be able to do anything about it either.

Well, in my state it is required that you give a finger print in order to get a drivers license, so perhaps it's in the data base. It's a long shot, but even if not, they would at least have that guys finger print on record, in the case he does something else, and gets caught.

In most cases the police themselves would need to do the fingerprinting.

Otherwise there'd be issues with possible tampering of evidence.

Plus, on a purely forensic level, fingerprints on the outside would only prove who handled it; not who stole it or dismantled/mangled it.

On a side note, JETLASERS must be pretty p*ssed their review lasers keep getting trashed. Is it standard practice to keep a review laser? I would have thought the company would want them back although I would expect them to cover all shipping costs of course.

Yea, you guys are probably right. I thought it was legal to own, but not legal to use outside if >5mW.

I'm wondering why they even bothered to bring it back..

Well, JETLASERS doesn't want them back, and you're allowed to keep them.

However, aXit did send his review sample back.

WL tries to pull that move. maybe some others-- they get a free testing and honest review. Asking for the return show that a Co, like that cares only about the bottom line.
For something costing several K I could understand, tho.

Sorry for your loss. somebody in your circle is a laser hater. real shame. I would meet w/ as many of the party goers that I could one-on-one and ask the right questions while looking for the poker face tells...

Liars are not as clever as they often think they are.

Once you eliminate the majority- meet with those left again.

sorry to hear all this.. not cool.
