Hi! I'm Lemon and i'm a laser user from NZ.

I found this place when searching for a way to make my 20mw green laser burn through stuff, though I didn't get very far as I wanted to register and take a look around here :X

I got my laser about a week ago, and I love it! I've become hooked by this laser and want to promptly upgrade to something that can burn :p My friend decided he'd one up me and buy a 50mw green laser, so now it's my turn to one up him.

Needless to say I didn't quite find out how to mod my little 20mw, so my question to you guys is, is it possible? And what size lasers do burn from the get go.

Thanks.

I'd say go for a 200mW RED. They're the cheapest way to defiinitely be able to burn. If you order a green capable of burning you'll struggle to look at it, whereas a red is safer.

But even so, if you want to look at that dot for a long time (e.g. carving into something) you're going to need goggles.

Cheers for the info guys, much appreciated.

Is anyone on this forum from New Zealand? The only place I know that is reliable to buy lasers from is Trademe. Does anyone know of a site that will ship to New Zealand, or better yet, is in New Zealand?

Glad I found this place :X

Midi bought it and did that review, He has burning videos on the post. It's not a AAA battery though they send a 3.6v battery.

Put a feeler(WTB) on the For Sale section and a cheap choice may be a 100+mW PHR build from a member-- you may even find one in NZ, WELCOME KIWI

Forget the modding idea--
