What is the diameter of the original LED driver in a Jayrob 18650 kit?

Like the title says, I'm looking for the diameter of the driver puck that comes in an 18650 Jayrob kit.
I think instead of a typical LD driver I'm going to use an off the shelf 1050mA AMC LED driver with added filtering capacitors.
This should make the build much easier to install and allow for a longer copper heatsink.

The only problem is I need to know the diameter of the LED driver puck so I can order a suitable drop-in replacement.

I thought I read somewhere that you cannot put capacitors on an AMC driver, somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

All you would have to do would be to put a small filtering capacitor across the LD leads. Maybe even a very high value resistor to dissipate any residual charge left in the capacitor left in the capacitor after shutoff.

I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Do open circuits hurt the AMC drivers?
I know an uncharged capacitor acts like an open circuit, but that is extremely brief.

At any rate, an AMC driver, test laod, and capacitor is so cheap that it would be easy to test.

IIRC, the inside diameter at the pill is just over 23mm but I think the pill takes up that room. The rest of the top barrel, where the heatsink sits is just under 21mm.

I hope that's helpful.

If my long ago experience remains true, a discharged capacitor appears as a short circuit.
