Dave is correct, I was not attempting to sell any of these A130 diodes to anyone on LPF, rather a business or scientist that happened to find my shop from Google or something. No one bought any though so now I'm selling at more reasonable prices ($49.50 shipped w/ my 10% off coupon for the diode alone).

Competition seems to be steep..

A fool and his money are soon parted.

Every time I'm looking to buy something, I always do a hunt for coupons.

Yeah, you have to have quick fingers and quicker eyes! You didn't do bad though. They are certainly worth more than we have to pay for them. We definitely are spoiled in the 445nm part of the hobby, and probably spoiled for just about everything in the not too distant future.

unless wl has fixed the multi mode problem and really produced 1.5mm beam with 1.5mrad these lasers wont do much at any distance, My casio/nichia 445nm diode in an aixiz case with aixiz 445nm tuned glass lens can burn a nice 2mm hole at 6 inches, but at 20 feet the best dot I can get is 3/8 inch by 5/8 inch, totally useless for burning and about the size of 40 pupils, or 25mw in my eye and only 6.75mw if I reflected it back into my eye from 20 feet. So except for point blank abuse, accidental bouncebacks should be non critical, at least with the aixiz lens. Alas idiots will none the less blast each other at point blank and usher in new legislation destroying the freedom of our hobby.

regardless brightidea, I hope you wear some laser goggles rated to protect 445nm laser.

and @ Chris, I think you had purchased the diode pressed into an Aixiz module, not just the bare diode. If you want to email me with your coupon code I can refund 10% on your order as you didn't use the code on your order. some simple searchs on LPF or Google will enable you to find the coupon codes ;)

thanks,

I wouldn't count on beam divergence to protect against the 445nm LD's at 40 feet. This wavelength is sucked up by hungry red emitters in the blood vessels. ;-)
