I think we all know that ordering high power lasers in the u.s. is illegal.
I would hate to think that anyone who does have their laser taken by customs, would expect the sender to eat the cost.
O-Like and the other retailers like rayfoss.com are doing us a favor. I would like to think 99% of them do get through. If people start demanding their money back and doing charge backs. These companies will stop shipping to us. Then what, then were do we get our lasers from? We would have no choice other then to pay companies like wickedlasers for our stuff

Thanks Ogre :)
It is expected to ship by tomorrow.

BTW: The website is currently down for maintenance, until we can get a proper page up explaining that any orders placed between today and the 19th will not be sent until after the 20th. I dont want anyone ordering and then being struck with the news that it wont be sent for over a week. We'll get a proper page up shortly.

Yeah I recently bought from BeamCheap and lemon, provided great service. I only wish to know if My order was shipped :)

I'm a bit confused... do you have the Laser in your hands or are you
waiting for it to arrive...

I'm usually a Happy Customer after I get something I ordered into my
hands and works as advertised...

1. Yep, we aren't children, nothing to worry about there.

2. I have explained this many times. Drop shippers tend to not be related to the company they drop ship with. Susie is a large part of this company, this is another distribution channel for O-Like products. Essentially, I am in charge of the Customer Service part of BeamCheap, but I also make edits to the site etc.

3. We are essentially O-Like, with two extra foreign staff. Warranties are sent to O-Like/BeamCheap.

4. If the laser is confiscated, too bad. We have nowhere near the profit margins to provide any sort of support in this issue. We are happy to send batteries separately, but apart from that, there is nothing more we can do.

5. I am not impressed. I will be confronting Susie about this. Thank you.

That's a real nice way to look at it. I'll be sticking to DL or CNI.

Thats the way it is.
If US customs confiscates the laser, it is not returned to us, we don't somehow get the money back that was spent manufacturing the laser, so we have no way to provide any consolation. I tell it like it is :)

I am not impressed with the fake factory picture.

I am also not impressed with peoples ability to jump to conclusions without letting the person have a fair trial.

Believe what you want, BeamCheap will eventually gain your trust.

Don't ship to the U.S. then. Not everyone is familiar with the laws.

If they take the dispute through PayPal, of course they'll get the money.

But before the disputes process, it is, as good manors, expected that they accept the risk. If people start to not accept the risk, we'll simply stop shipping to USA.

Until then, we'll leave things the way they are :)

I think that's the route you should go. Don't offer a service if you can't guarantee.

Most reputable sellers do eat the cost, CNI and dragonlasers to name a couple. If you're going to offer a service, make sure you can make good on it. If I pay you for something, it is your duty to deliver to me what I pay for. If you can't...then don't offer me your service, or make your product FDA compliant like WL has.

1) Yeah, until customs confiscates your laser. Then you'll be starting a thread here bitching and whining about them, especially when BeamCheap flips you the bird and tells you it's your loss.

2) You're wrong, there are many companies that ship to the US besides O-like and BeamCheap. Sure, they may be a few bucks cheaper, but remember the old saying. You get what you pay for.

Don't count your chickens before they hatch. Lasers do get confiscated from time to time bud. I'm not wishing that yours does, so don't take this the wrong way. I hope you get it in working condition, and I hope you post a lovely review. However, you seem too over confident.

Yes sometimes I can seem very cocky, but I took the risk.

Well good luck. It seems brutally obvious (to me anyway) that beamcheap only cares about taking your money. Most of us took the risk at one point. I took it with DL back in June of 09. However, I was guaranteed my laser, or a replacement or full refund had customs snatched it.
