I have some questions before placing an order that need to be answered as you have no sales/ returns policies listed and nothing in the about us section.
I've been burned by new laser companies in past and need some details about your business.

1. Are both you and your partner adults? There have been kids startup websites around here, take lots of orders and then cannot fill them; at lest one from Australia I can remember as he ripped me off.

2. Do you guys have the products shipped to you from o-like and you test them before shipping, or are they just "drop shipped" from o-like, are you just a drop shipper?

3. How are warranties handled, are the returns shipped to you or to o-like? I know that a 6 month warranty is mentioned on your website, but with a new online business with no business history, a 6 month or for that matter life-time warranty doesn't mean much if the company goes under or is closed up after 2-3 months.

4. What about customs issues, if a pointer is ordered and then confiscated coming into the USA or other country, what is your policy, do you just send another one or give a full refund?

5. You might want to remove that picture from the front of your website. I know in one of your (lemonwonder) old posts you had said that Susie had just taken the picture for you, but when she said had taken the picture, she really meant she had taken / stolen the pciture from another website as o-like is not a manufacturer. In fact it's just a one person operation as they too are just a drop shipper. and never actually touch the products they sell.
The picture was stolen from an alibaba electronics manufacturer called max-unite
Max-Unite Electronics Co., Ltd. - China - Manufacturer
The have been using these photographs for about 2 years now.

This is not a personal attack, I jsut want to know what I'm getting into before jumping in and sending money. I've been burned in the past and I go by the saying if it soyunds to good to be true, it probably is.
Time will tell, but I'll be holding off on placing an order until these questions are answered and some others who are more willing to part with their cash, get their lasers and are happy with the products, performance and support.

For those who don't know what a drop shipper is, they just take your money and place an order with a 3rd party compnay who then ships the item directly to the customer. The drop shipper who the order is placed with, never actually comes in contact with the product and if a return is made it is not to the company you ordered from, but directly to the company that drop shipped the item.
One of the ways to identify a drop shipper is.
It takes a long time for "in stock" items to be shipped, sometimes a week or more as more orders are being collected and the order is sent to the company doing the shipping. Many times you are actually going trough several levels of drop shippers and shipping can two weeks or more before it actaully is shipped.

Before placing an order from a brand new company who is stirring up business on a forum is to do a little research, it can save you a lot of grief in the long run, do things like.
google their forum name and email address, do a who is and who is IP on their domain name and ip address to see who owns it and where they or their hosts are located. See when they created the domain and if they only had the confidence in their business to only buy the domain for one year at a time or for several years or more, wait for others to buy 1st and for the business to build it's reputation. These things will help you to make an informed decision and if in doubt, ask questions like I am.

I think you should read up a little more.

O-like has been a confirmed seller on this forum since I joined (over a year ago), I have never heard anything bad to say about them, I have placed a few orders my self and NEVER been disappointed with what I have received.

Susie is a great seller at O-like, and always does her best to make sure her customers are happy, she has live chat and all the products have confirmed output, if they arrive underspec you can ship them back for a full replacement without any hassle.

Beamcheap.com is run by a person who is apart of the O-Like company, it is a sister website and supplies exactly the same products, except with free shipping and a fully speaking english customer support from Lemon who lives in New Zealand.

If you had read a little more you would have discovered Lemon has been talking to Susie and there boss before setting up beamcheap, and is run by all three of them since they do not want to change O-like, the only route left was too open a new site. We know for a FACT beamcheap is apart of O-like and owned by the same people because they made a web page on O-like as a little confirmation saying this message was made by Lemon to say Beamcheap is apart of the same over all company.

ALSO, are you sure they are a drop ship company? Because I have on several occasions herd Lemon advertise and claim they TEST ALL THEIR LASERS OUTPUT before they send them out, that would mean they do have the lasers before they ship them out?

I think it is definitely safe to say this is a trusted company, I will be placing an order soon for a green module.

This is an important observation. While I have had the understanding that websites regularly use stock photography, this incident makes me cautious of BeamCheap.com's claims. Thank you for having mentioned this.

What is there too be cautious about? I'm quite sure that company is O-Likes supplier, hence they would be allowed to use there stock photography. I could be wrong but it would make sense.

Beamcheap is APART OF O-LIKE, it's run by the same people... Why would o-like be completely trusted for years and then their sister company just randomly starts scamming people? It makes NO sense.

Stop making bogus claims.

Hey laserguy....

for a member that has been registered here since July 2007 and with only 7 posts..
you should perhaps NOT purchase from BeamStop until it has been proven that
their customer service and shipping speed is up to par...

Doing a little research on the Forum would have given you the low-down
on O-Like.... or even RayFoss for that matter...

I have personally purchased items from O-Like on numerous occasions..
and am completely satisfied with Susie's cutomer service and that Susie
is not a Drop Shipper.... Why else would she buy a Deluxe LaserBee I LPM
for her business..

@laserguy

As far as o-like goes all the evidence I need is in the posts and reviews of the members here. Beamcheap will no doubt be as good but we will have to see ;)

Hi Asherz,
Any claims I've made are not bogus, o-like is a drop shipper period.
Mostly I asked questions of beamcheap and am waiting their answers about their policies.
They claim to be a "sister company" of o-like, but remember o-like has been down for about a month and now their website is hosted on a domain owned by beamcheap, so who owns who is to be questioned. It is not uncommon for a business to fail and for them to sell their domain to someone else to give it a try and to give the impreesion they are dealing with the same company they sometimes get some customer support from the old owner for a short period of time to give the impression nothing has changed when actually it's being run by someone else completely, so just because it may say olike, now that their shopping cart and webserver is being hosted on the same sub-domain as beamcheap, all bets are off and only time will tell if what customers actually get is of the same quality and equal or better support than o-like provided. I'm not saying that all this is fact, but it's very possible that o=like sold their domain name, email addresses and other forms of communication to beamcheap for one reason or another.
Anyone commiting to a sale and sending payment before the website even has a posted sales, return/ warranty policy and other policies such as customs responsibility is foolish and it's just bad business practice to solicit sales prior to posting and making the customer fully aware of what their policies are and who they areally are; for all we know the two fellows running beamcheap are young teenagers who could get your money, not provide the product or service you expected and you'll be out of luck like many of us were last year by the clown down in AU.
If you think PayPal will protect you, you are mistaken, they are not what they use to be either; google paypal sucks and you'll see.
One other thing, it seems they only take PayPal and selling lasers that are shipped to the USA is against PayPals AUP policies and will get their PP account locked and closed with your funds locked up.

Hopefully beamcheap will answer the questions and post these policies soon.

Man.... If I was as paranoid as you....
the solution would be quite simple....

DON'T Buy from BeamCheap or O-Like ! ! !

Find another supplier that better suits your requirements and makes
you feel safe...
You don't have to believe the members here about O-Like's customer
service...

Why did you post that link like that? Is there something about THAT company I should be concerned about? I am a bit of a lurker, and I may have missed it.

*heads of to the search button*

edit: no results *shrug*

edit2: the fact that they sell Jerry's stuff certainly adds credibility.

Or maybe,

The government discovered that O-like was selling high powered lasers to anyone they wanted for a good decent price, and Obama was going to have non of this so he employed some government officials too fly immediately to China and after months of research on the various addresses of all the O-like workers, they arrived in China, Susie and all the other members of o-like were seized and then brought back to America where they are being held captive against will without being fed any food apart from lots of bran flakes.

From there the government officials, Bob and Lemon, took down the server at which O-Like was hosted and in the short few weeks they were down integrated a highly technological system in which every single persons details are logged and sent directly to president Obama's 100's of multi screen security panels, where he can watch everyone over there secret computer integrated webcams (pre installed of course.)

Once this high tech system was hard wired into the O-like servers, they rebooted everything with Lemon as the new CEO, and customer relations officer who was sent to LPF to sweet talk all the members into there suspiciously great service, after deciding to change the spec of the blu-ray module to avoid alerting suspicion people started to order, with out relising all their details were being sent straight to the President.

After mere days of the website launching people are joining the O-like workers in captivity, and the few that has decided to revoke agains beamcheaps new services are being watched closely and being tracked as we speak, I would watch your back Laserguy.. . They're everywhere.

That sounds quite reasonable to me...

I'm clear and free! My laptop has no webcam! :)

So you think, it's government issue to install miniature webcams in all computers... Who knows where though :p

Anyways, enough of the wesman stuff... I've been thinking it over and too be fair it does seems A TINY bit suspicious. I wouldn't mind talking directly to Susie.

I just sent a message to Susie requesting info on the BeamCheap/O-like
issues... I'll post what I find out from her rather than speculate any
further...
