I love that really deep blue color. For the rest of us who can't get ultra cool rare lasers like that but want to see that color, use a prism on a non phosphorescent mercury vapor bulb. One of the main MV lines is 435nm. It's really pretty. It's worth it!

Those are not for water, it is back filled with dry nitrogen to preserve the crystal and diode facets.

I would guess the violet is a tiny bit more indigo than our 405 nm's, but so little so, one would just see the difference side by side, basically I would call it violet if I'm right. -Glenn
