Nichia 7W NUBM47-A1/NUBM44-V2 450nm???

Are they the Gball diodes? and if you decan them do they last?
For pointers where most are maybe run a few hours in their life a decanned/recanned diode really is not a big issue as long as you keep the diode pocket free of particles and debris. Avoid taking the lens out reducing exposure to fresh oxygen, dust and air particles. Use high quality modules where the lens threading won't chip and flake down in the diode pocket. In applications where the laser will be running extended periods I would not even consider a decaned/recaned diode.

Thanks Jordan..
I think I will stick to the NUB44.
Big reason is my place is so so dusty. I don't know why? I realize everyone gets dust in their home but the dust I get is like a Super Dust Storm.. I am 12 storys up and live in the highest part of my City. I have done my best to seal every opening like my base board heating piping holes. sprinkler system etc..

I can dust my TV table/stand and 2 days later I can write my name on the table.
To much info I know:whistle:

Glad to see that your posting again:)

Casio stopped manufacturing projectors back in like 2020 therefore new NUBM4x series diodes also stopped being available. There are plenty of used projectors still available but even those are starting to go away.

I don't think I have tested one of these yet

GH04C06W9G

I expect the divergence is as bad or worse than the nubm44/47

Also they center @ 435nm
