That is a slow pulse you have, Len. How are you taking it? Just want to make certain it is accurate. My pulse is ~80 bpm.

Generally, the normal average for adults is 60 to 100 bpm. I just looked at mine, and it was ~66 bpm.
Some newer studies show a lower "normal" of 50 to 70 bpm though.

Wow, 60 to 100 beats per second, Isn't that in the hummingbird range? All joking aside I believe you both mean bpm or "beats per minute" don't you?

Yeah, should have been bpm, I'll edit it now. I looked at Pauls numbers, and the bps must have stuck in my head.

Edit: Just for the heck of it, I checked the hummingbird rate out since you mentioned them, and those little guys have a resting rate of 250 bpm and while flying it can be 1200 bpm!

Just check mine and I just came in from walking
between buildings... and I'm at ~66 as well.

That was a typo on mine as well. It has been edited. The old parameters for heart rates were higher when I was studying, but 50 bpm is on the low end of the new numbers. My concern for Len is his age and CHF when looking at his heart rate. As we get older, ones heart rate tends to increase. This is also true if we put on extra weight. If it remains low in spite of this, it could be pathological. That was my only point.

Probably the same way that my 505nm portable laser's review went to cheap "ghetto booze" -- third post from the bottom is a big-ass picture of a booze bottle.

When you have 11 pages of posts about this LPM, things are bound to go off in a different direction once in awhile as everything that could be said about the meter has been said.

Hi Jerry. Thanks for testing this device. I am not in the market for one as the
one you built performs perfectly. Thanks for that too!

I hope all is well with you...best wishes from North Carolina!
