Will have to ask ArcticDude about beam shots. I'm sure that is part of his plan. I am interested in how well these align and how difficult it is to realign one.

Damascus steel is not cheap and hard to process, the guardian laser was our first attempt.

We do have a plan for a damascus steel RGB laser but that is gonna be limited (less than five) and they will not be cheap. :eg:

I believe it was shipped a week ago. Will be at least another week before it arrives, I suspect. Probably longer. Right now, your rep is 21,689,615. As soon as I refresh the page it will be gone. :crackup:

The maxed out person never gets to see his own rep go up. It is only by comparisons to other maxed out members that we even know that it happens at all. It certainly is about as broken as it could be now. Sometimes I do miss the good ole days when we were congratulating each other for making it to new milestones. Oh well. I guess we will have to make due with conversations about lasers.

Mokume Gain would be even nicer than Damascus, I’ve been wanting to do a custom host for a while but it’s very expensive!

Are you talking about Damascus steel in which you form it with hammers that have designs in them to hammer the steel in a pattern? like a Damascus shotgun? I have one and it iis beautiful can't shoot it but it's beautiful my material for a host would be copper I LOVE copper it is to me the most beautiful metal God created and I would love one with silver appointments That would be awesome and do a Damascus pattern in the copper.. Red bronze would be another beautiful metal to make one with.. I want to get into casting got a forge just got to get the other stuff and most of all knowledge in how to do it.

IDK, casting the X0.5M lens threads might be a bit difficult to get right. Machining is likely the best option. I have copper hosts. I have two that were sprayed with acrylic after polishing and a MS Cyprus II that is all copper through and though. It has a module that is threaded to the outside heat sink to make good thermal contact. It is very well made, but I can't see it being made by casting it.

Lifetime17 works with copper making hosts for sale on his sales thread. You might want to PM him and see what he has available, or ask him to build you something specific.

You can now select "magnetic controls" for the striker saber laser!


Magnetic control rings(Optional)
The magnetic control rings allow user to adjust the power of the laser from 100mW to 5000mW(5W 445nm for example) by twisting the control rings along with the control to the operation mode.
