Gorgeous.

Maybe I will get a few beam pics next to the Mississippi river this weekend. It glows 532nm by default.

Please do!
What you mean by that it glows 532nm by default? Pollution or something else? :D

Man alive ArcticDude, those are stunning. They would make such a great murrel for a wall. I bet it’s just awesome to gaze into in real life. Thanks for making me  all over the floor. :)

Fantastic beams shots, Tero. Why did the beam light up the forest between those two trees? Since the camera's perspective to the beam is the same, I have to think there was something there to reflect part of it.

It's just smoke / light coming from camp fire :p

Ah, now that you told me I think I can see the fire hidden and the smoke moving from left to right. Lol. I knew it had to be something.

Here's a photo I thought was cool of a build really dear to me, 9mm/stock lens in a Bigboy host from a GB. The heatsink was made by Eud. I built this laser with my dad and it reminds me of him. We built it in 2013 I think and the diode is still going strong after 5 years of usage. What a diode.

Was that from one of the Ca$io projectors? Looks like an A140 or M140. The host looks a lot like sinner's Envy. I have built 7 lasers using that host. I'd rep you, but it's too soon.

It is the NDB7875 9mm from DTR.
This is the GB: https://laserpointerforums.com/f55/ongoing-big-boy-3x18650-host-30-a-77100.html
Now that I think about it, I wish a bought a couple more :p

The only thing I don't like is that the holder has all 3 springs in parallel, and the driver need the batteries in series. So one of the batteries has to go positive side to the spring which triggers my OCD. Never found a replacement holder and didn't know how to switch the spring location. It works though as long as I use a flat top battery.

PS. You given me reps twice this week don't worry about it :p. Thank you for getting me to 8 figures

I have that diode in sinner's MS-SSW-II and it outputs three watts of optical power. I also have a spare in my stock for a someday build. It has been my pleasure to rep you. You seem to be quite active now, so enjoy it. :yh:

Hi hoo7h, nice build!

I've got that same "Big Boy" host that I used in a build that I did last year.
I had the same problem with that parallel style battery holder, and ended up modifying it to be a series holder, over-all it turned out pretty good in the end.

Here is a -Link- to my build thread that shows a few pics of the modded battery holder.

Orion & Moon

Freezing cold night, but luckily everything needed for taking beamshots is just two minutes walk from home.

Nice night sky shots, my friend.

Idea/inspiration for you:
What about doing some composition like putting a light saber as Orion's sword (or maybe in his hands) and some other beams and/or reflection to show him in action?

Unfortunatelly we have deep below zero temperatures here, old frozen snow with little ice crystals in the air and quite humid and in night windy weather - my lasers rest home till there are better conditions (hopefully just a few degrees below zero and fresh layer of snow). :(

I know the feeling, just check this video I made this morning...
