In fact they also sent to me two SB217HL91, but indeed it was a SB217HL91 doing 502nm and a SB217HN91 doing 505nm.

Will be awaiting the results of your measurements!

My 5x diodes arrived. Three of them are SB217HL91 but the remaining two are SB217HN91. I will contact the seller and ask for a reship
since they specifically claim to sell the ****HL91 version in their offer.

Anyway, here the results of my measurements:

SB217HL91 :
505.0nm, 501.0nm and 504.0nm.

SB217HN91 :
505.0nm and 506.0nm

Seems that these diode runs are close to the targeted specs around 505nm, with some outliers to both sides.
The 501.0nm is definitely a keeper, but I hoped for more diodes close to 500nm, since I allready have a few 502nm ones.

I will open a sell thread for my 503nm and higher wl ones soon if somebody is interested.

Thanks for testing those diodes for us Singlemode. Well, i would say that both models should be classed as 'true' 505's, but with the HL's sitting lower than the HN's. Good work. I already repped you so can't do so again.

For anyone interested on them, also for singlemode, they are case positive diodes, like the SB1573N91's, so Blitz's linear driver or sometging similar is required fot tgem in order to run properly in a handheld.

You should add your location to your profile.
That's very impressive on the 501nm, no wonder you want to keep it. :)

That's awesome. I'm glad you were able to get one that was so close to 500nm. they do seem to be all over the place, probably an early run while trying to get that 505nm wavelength nailed down. I have to finished the build for Albert's 501nm diode and driver as well as his other diode. I have diodes for other members too. Just wanted to let them all know I hadn't forgotten. :)

I'm finally finished with all my obligations to other members here. I can now start on my 502nm build. I have a custom 501B host from Rich (Lifetime17), a Nano Boost driver I'll set for 275 mA and an SB1473N91, which is not case positive and is very close to 502nm. Should make a very good build that will run on a single 18650 battery. Once I have it finished, I plan on getting some photos of my 477nm and this build then putting them in a single thread for everyone to see how these can be done and some beam shots of both.

It won't take too long to throw this 502nm build together, but it will take some time to get some good photos of them both and try to get beam shots that represent the color accurately. I'm hoping for next weekend unless something else comes up. Both these lasers are either your build, or have parts in them I got from you, Rich. :yh:

This link doesn't work for me. If you could provide an item number that would work better. My best guess is these are probably very close to 505nm as they are the next iteration after the SB217HN91. Those were mostly 505nm too.

I updated links, also found that those diodes are getting cheaper, first off all

SB217HR91

SB217HQ91

Cheaper diodes (~23usd)
