Yeah, I don't see a place on this forum for crap like that. Had I known it might have been what it is, I'd have never logged onto the site. Deletion wouldn't get a protest from me.

Gee Whiz guys, now I must ponder a thought brought into consideration from my warped subconscious mind.

Could there be a brown laser beam, or a combination of beams that present as brown ?

:undecided:

Closest you can get is yellow/orange/something that looks almost brown. Amber is considered a variation of brown, but probably not what you're looking for.

Brown is a composite color which can be produced by combining red, yellow, and black,[1] or by a combination of orange and black.

There was a lengthy discussion about the possibility of producing brown using lasers either on here or on PL years ago.

Edit: Discussion here: https://laserpointerforums.com/f40/brown-laser-25114.html

622nm

Of course, a screen won't reproduce it perfectly, but you get the idea. Really it's a slightly red, orange.

To make brown you'd need to add black, but you can't do that with lasers. You can only mimic the effect by having a brighter beam next to the 622nm beam. Maybe if you had a very low power 622nm laser (or mix of R/G/Y) on it's own the beam would start to look brown.

Although it was a bit weird, the OP did not deserve a neg for this. He was joking about who built it too. Really quite a shame when a returning old member comes back and posts something a bit controversial and gets neg reped by a new member with stupidly inflated rep! Yes you CynicalBrad, try looking up who Jayrob and Styropyro are and think before you neg rep :tsk: Anyway OP is back in the green.

Hmmm... I'm not going to look, but all of this as me curious, don't need to see a BP with a laser sticking out it as a handle, I'm guessing.

It's not that bad, just an acrobat doing a routine in a hanging steel hoola-hoop with a multi color laser pointer aligned with the acrobats spine.

It has an artistic component but the placement of the laser looks like it's plugged into the acrobat.

I don't know what they were going for but it looks wrong, but it's not disgusting like that girls and cup video some wonderful person suggested I take a look at...... :(

I agree, it was just an attempt at humor; I posted a pic similar to this in the "Ass cheek LPM calibration" thread three or so years ago, and it was taken for what it was, just some crazy sh!t people do, and it happened to involve a laser!

Ha, not so bad after all, I looked. Doesn't bother me, looks like a red flame rocket booster output to me.
