...

Seriously,
I think that was military drone.. Military shooting area is aback side of camera and flying is prohibited anywhere near. And there is no airfield nearby that any plane could land on and it was flying complitely silent. Flying just above the tree line, maybe 500-600 meters from me. No sound what so ever.

-And it is a dead silent over here, you can hear rabbit fart from across a lake.. :D :D

Definitely not a regular quotro-copter, it was way too huge for that. And VFR flights are not allowed in night time...

Very nice photos, as usual, ArcticDude. It is great now you are in summer as the landscapes show all the foliage that isn't around during the winter. +rep

Man you must feel so fortunate to live in such a beautiful place. May not be great weather year around, but when it is, it is! Great pics! :gj:

ArcticDude, I've been wanting to revisit this particular pic to say 'Holy Pareidolia'!

That looks like some sort of forest denizen or mage, there on the right with antlers or antenni sprouting from it's head. And the way the small sapling directly adjacent to it's left is leaning inward and the way the larger spruce trunk is arcing, curving upwards to the right, it is some sort of misty cobalt forest vortex happening there! With the deadfall and the smaller sapling in the foreground leaning sharply to the right as well, along with the frosty dusting. And the beamshot angling through it all. Pretty darn surreal there mister.

Few beamshots from last night..

Beautiful photos as usual AD, they're even better looking in high res.!

I have a theory, you're secretly drawing energy from the moon, not trying to shoot it down!

Thanks Bowtie!
Im glad to hear you enjoyed those pics. I maybe could share the secret with Meow Cat..

Thanks Paul! :thanks:
I hope that Autumn is clear and sunny, would love to take some beamshots when nature is going hibernation, and every thing in a forest is multicoloured. Last autumn was grey and rainy and colored leafs did not look as good as usually in autumns..

Definitely Bob!
Sometimes I wonder why in the earth our great great ancestors have choosen to come over here in north. Without decent shoes and clothes over a winter. But in a summer time when you go out and walk on these forests and see all those lakes, it all makes a sense, why they choose to stay here.

Lol :D
I see the Ant-Man now! He is touching the beam and wonder where all this light comes from!!

:D :D

------------

Few shots from last night.. I couldnt resist temptation of getting beamshots in a hope of good amount of fog since we had severe storm that didnt last long time but was really really heavy raining. Unfornately there was a bit too much wind in order to lakes to generate fog cloud..

Sky was really wierd / awesome looking. Moon light was coming through the clouds and make them look a purple. Waves + beam reflection from water surface is cool looking too, I think..

I missed that too. Good eye, CE5. That is one of my favorite photos of yours now, ArcticDude. Strange that this apparently biodegrading mass of old foliage seems to take center stage in the photo.

Found another picture of this "drone"..
It has taken 40 minutes after first ones..

What makes these images interesting is this image with Red blinking navigation lights -even the plane is coming towards to the camera (plane was moving to right)..
-If that is an a aircraft, it is flying backwards.. :D :D :D

Huh, that's a drone? I see you are taking a beam shot at the time and in the lower right of the photo at the tree line level, there looks like something akin to a diffraction grating splitting the beams.

That looks like a 532nm with a BE attached. Of course it is hard to tell for sure from a photo. Am I right? Nice photo.

Definitely agree with Paul. That is very nice photo Jombo23!
Really like colors on that pic and how tree tops are cast against clouds. And of course stars on night sky. Thank you for sharing that! :gj:

------

Few shots from last night..
It was a clear summer night and absolutely calm weather without a breeze.
Nature was providing it's own fog machine once again, and it was really peaceful & relaxing feeling to watch fog clouds traveling slowly but steadily a cross the lake.
-Some times in three separate layers.

Sun is rising in a last picture, I tried to take pictures of it, but I couldn't capture it on it's whole beauty, just a partion of it.
It was a breathtaking to see sunrise and sun rays casting through fog. Just mind-boggling and wonderful moment before I packed my gears.

Once again ArcticDude, great pics! The green shows up so bright. Awesome. :)

Just curious, how close is your closest neighbor? Awesome place to live. Enjoy.
