New Nitecore Concept1

What do you guys think about the new Nitecore Concept1? I have more flashlights than I do Lasers,
Just check my YouTube Channel (PhotonsAcrossTheAir) Nitecore and Thrunite are my favorite companies. I am always looking for a New EDC and my current one is the MH20, Definitely looking to replace it soon. It still works great but if I wait till they crap out then I may be waiting a long time.

Hate to be a buzzkill but I find it underwhelming actually. Not much unique or impressive about it IMHO. Though it looks pretty rigid I'll give it that.

Yeah that was actually brought up on Candlepowerforums a while back about these companies coming out with flashlights so fast that they pay little attention to UI and other little details that sell a light. The biggest one that people really didn't like was the TM03. I always kinda liked it but almost 3000 Lumens on a single HD cell seems like something could go wrong possibly. Thanks for the Imput though

Thanks Paul, I actually don't like paying more than about $80 for an EDC in case I lose it (it's happened before) I think the concept runs about 65 on battery junction. I may wait till Selfbuilt on Candlepowerforums reviews and tests it.

Hah! Yeah a lot of my fiends thinks absurd to spend that much on a light.

Yeah, to each his own. I spend a lot on test equipment for electronics and lasers. Many of my friends don't understand that.

Hah yeah I definitely get it, test equipment is not a waste of money at all IMO, I got some friends that spend their money on ridiculous stuff, I actually have a friend that spends all his money on Oklahoma City thunder apparel, which I'm not really into sports so that might be why I don't get it.

I would not spend that much on one either.

One question to ask is if you really need one nowadays. For a small orientation light you could probably use your cellphone canera light using the built in feature for it.

As stand-alone lights i've used the singe-AAA ones from DX, and those are problematic: those run the battery down to a point where you cannot restart them.

You definitely get what you pay for, those phone lights are 10, 15 lumens max, not much to disorient an attacker, but for up close and personal a smartphone light is ok.

1800 lumens powered by one 18650 in small package? I like that. 1700 lumen in about size of match box powered by external four 18650 battery pack with wide angle - this is what I use. Two leds. It heats pretty much, since it needs to be cooled by air flow when riding bike to run for longer period at max power. This small flashlight will be likely for very short use at max power IMO.
