I received the laser ahead of schedule, so that was nice. However, the packaging was done very poorly--the protective foam was just scrunched up and the pieces were jammed in the box. Including The projector filters were just bouncing around loose in the box along with the glasses (for which there was no proper spot). The photos were taken after I unpacked the pieces and repacked them properly.
They also sent me the wrong laser! Inspecting the labelling led me to discover that I actually had been sent a 450nm laser. Return process is underway, so hopefully I'll get it sorted out, but in the meantime, it gives me an opportunity to try out this one too.

All aluminum construction. Feels pretty solid in my hand though not especially comfortable to hold.
Nicely machined and lubricated threading.
Power button is on the back. It's a toggle switch with a rubber cover and a nice "click".
Batteries: 2x16350s included. The cheap no-name blue ones.
Update: The batteries are verifiable garbage. They were drained after only a few uses of the laser, and charging them on an Xtar charger showed they only took about 270 mAh to fully charge. :wtf:
Lens: Probably acrylic? (I don't know how to tell)
Diode: Not too sure what they've stuck in this guy, but again, here's a picture:
