Here's some pictures of a mini brass host I got off ElectricPlasma she's a beauty of a host. It puts out about 330mw's. The run time is real fantastic because of the solid brass. That's a rubber lens cover I glued to the end works real well. Give it some character with the green and brass color. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Nice little brass pocket sized laser, Bob! Looks like you're using one of the Osram 450B diodes?
Is that a black rubber grip on the battery tube, or is that a carbon fiber wrap, either way it looks good.

It's fiber wrap came that way from ElectricPlasma when he turned the host. As far as the diode goes, cannibalized a another laser I had laying around that wasn't working so I'm not sure, just took the driver and doide out and stuck them in, just had to resolder the diode to the board ( that was why she wasn't working) thought I give it a try. Also had to pinch the ground wire between the module and host. She came out real well, I happy with it. Thanks for showing interest! ---------edit, correction this host came with a wooden contact board I used, it was the other build I made that I had to pinch the ground wire, this one I just used the contact board supplied with the host ( had me another senior moment ) please don't tell anybody they seem to be happening more often, or maybe I'm just using that as my out. Oh well I'll have to get back with you on the answer. heehee

Hi,
that is a nice build BM, 450WL low power, i have a few brass hosts that ehgumus turned for me they are sweet. keep the duty cycle low only because brass has a low heat absorbing rate. But they sure look awesome i really like brass even though it's not on the periodic table. That build should last a long time..

Rich:)

Thanks Rich! Yea she's a beaut! I'm real happy the way it turned out. I guess your first couple of builds are your favorite. This one found a place in my heart! On to the next one
