I've heard to use the g2 or g7 for the commonly available lenses. Or if you can find a Meredeth lense, those were supposedly some of the best lenses for red lasers.

HiVV,
G2 for power and 3 element for divergence you choose what you prefer easy..And it's Mitsu 500 .. your going to like this diode it's more forgiving then the 700 ..
Oh almost forgot there's a 2 element lens for Red 638's to

Rich:)

Im pretty sure the g2 is gonna be a horrible profile, my g7 works good for an lpc826, maybe itll be good for this diode

I'm so glad you posted this thread because I'll prolly be getting my mits the same time you do. I ordered it with the 3 element, so I may change the lens out

Hi Richie,
The 3ele lens is probably best for divergence, with a 30% power loss compaired to a g2. im hoping the g7 will be somewhere inbetween

Oh okay awesome, so wonder if I should also purchase a g2 so I can have both in case I wanna add some more power every now and then. I actually don't know much about the G7, I'll have to check that out. I'd rep you but I've repped to much it won't let me lol!

Aren't those G-7 lenses a longer FL single element lens? With the divergence of this diode you might find it clips the emitter sides. I'm not sure as I haven't had the opportunity to test these out yet.

Hmmm yeah all I've ever had was 3 element :(
