Got my 405nm 510 module from DTR today, the mech mod I ordered showed up at the same time. Added the G9 lens I got a couple days ago for a nice increase in beam strength. Absolutely in love with this setup :sold:. I just need my goddamn charger to get here so I can run it off a fully charged battery instead of whatever residual charge is on these salvaged laptop cells... :banghead:

I'm aware the beamshot is shit, will update with a proper pic once I have batteries that put out a proper beam for more than 2 seconds, killed whatever was left in them playing around when I got it.

Good looking build. Yeah DTR is the man. I couldn't be happier with everything I have purchased from him and his customer service is top notch. Careful not to over discharge your batteries. Depending on your set up I have been warned that this could be very bad to do.

Edit: I see you're a fellow Mi. guy, hello neighbor!

Sorry for the late response, I managed to fry my diode within an hour of posting this :D

DTR, being the wonderful person he is, exchanged it with a new module for just the cost of a new diode. :bday:
The new module is evidently part of a new run that has an enlarged focus adapter machined from similar stock as the rest of the the module so it matches up an it looks like you're just twisting the front of it. I'll post pics when I get the chance.

The mech mod is a hades mod I got off ebay, this particular seller had the two toned look and I really liked it.

Hi to you too bowtieguy, I'm actually from around the Brighton area if you know where that is?

Don't know about the material, but the + pin seems readily wettable with standard electronics solder.
