And here it is. It looks like this lens offers a 5% increase in output power at 445nm...sorry for the 2 bumps at 20 and 30 seconds, my hand moved.

Well, actually....I was going to post an LPM graph comparison of two single-element lenses. But, as I was posting it, I had the odd thought that the results might be reversed. So, I decided I better wait and verify the results, as at the time of taking the measurements I was very...errrr...ummm...tired, yeah that's it, I was tired! :eg:
That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

I'll re-run the graph and get it posted. It's for the new broadband-coated (400nm-700nm) lenses that Aixiz picked up, against the standard 405-G2.

All that aside, those results appear interesting.

I must spread rep before i can rep you again but I love your attitude that you show the wtf moment when somebody doesn't explain what he wants to say but on the other side help everyone in a clear logical way if they explain it. ;)

BUT....if you'll take a look at the fine print on the graph, you'll see that "this lens" is a, and I quote, "Broadband single element (400-700)". Though, now that you mention it, I can see that it is just a little bit ambiguous...so I'll elaborate. :D

This is a new lens that will soon be offered by our very own Texas Laser Superstore, Aixiz Lasers. It is a broadband AR coated, single element lens, covering the spectrum from 400nm-700nm (according to the information I have...I do not have the knowledge, nor the equipment, to verify this).

Are there any other questions, class? ;)

Another way of saying the above?

"Aixiz is stocking the G9 / O9 / S1 / Whatever-You-Want-to-Call-It / single element lens that we're all very familiar with"
 
These lenses are actually what we got in the GB. The S1 also has a 400nm-700nm plating with a 4.02mm EFL and has the exact same lens barrel. Looks the exact same lens to me :beer:

With red lasers it actually perform better than the G2 too. I think someone posted a graph in the GB thread. If not I can do a quick test soon.

Ok sweet...I was unaware this was the same lens. It'll be nice to have them available locally.
