I dont ignore PMs from people who are interested in buying stuff from me. I ignore them from people who constantly post pointless junk on the forum or ask dumb questions that can easily be answered by a search. I tend to read every PM I get and decide if its worth my time or not.

Ive ordered plenty of stuff online; from forums members to major online retailers. Ive had numerous places never acknowledged my order or sent tracking........doesnt mean I didnt get it. On the other hand ive had places such as FT who send tracking and confirm my order yet they NEVER SENT IT. Cant jump to conclusions after a week.

Finally, just brcause you do something one way doesnt mean we have to follow your lead. Everyone conducts business differently

If you're going to run a business, you need to be responsive to customer inquiries and provide timely communications. The whole "sellers have lives too" thing is a bullshit excuse. If you're going to be busy, put a notification on your website and halt incoming orders. Otherwise, you have an obligation to maintain good customer relations -- or suffer the consequences.

Buyers are willing to cut sellers a lot of slack if there is good communications, even if there are problems. This is what sets apart well regarded sellers from the bad. It's not delivery time, it's not prices. It's good communications. If you can't fulfill the order, refund the money. At least then everyone involved knows that the transaction is complete, even if the order didn't make it through. Be proactive.

If you're going to be a dumb-ass like Kiyoukan, allowing orders to lapse and ignoring PMs, expect your sales to plummet, and your reputation to suffer. Kiyoukan of course was a complete asshole and bailed when he screwed up for the last time. Don't ignore the customer, or they'll just immediately file a dispute without even bothering to contact you. Sometimes asshole-stores only respond to a paypal dispute. Maybe the OP should file the dispute just to get the ball rolling for the lapse on part of the seller.

Sellers like DTR and others provide good communications, good prices, and good delivery time. They will always be highly regarded. Even companies like O-like were, for a time, highly regarded because of their communications and response time -- even with problems that may have occurred, or shoddy quality products.

This is why I continue to shop at DealExtreme: very good service, even if their products often suck and their shipping time is extremely long. They keep good contact with their customers and make sure problems are solved. They should serve as a model for other Hong Kong online shops.

So get your shit together if you're a seller. No excuses.

I know who you're talking about. I placed an order around the same time, and no answer to any
communications. They are also holding up the lens GB. I'm going to wait a few couple more days and
then file a PayPal dispute.

Incidentally I have an order in with him as well but I am really not worried about it personally. He will get to it. Would be nice to have it earlier but I am not worried at all about not getting my item and since it was a holiday I really am not worried about it.

Glad to hear it! It is an awesome pocket laser! I took it out for a little Austin air when it got to me. I had to make sure it was good enough for you. And don't worry I keep impeccable care of my lasers, even better care of others' lasers. How are you liking it? I think Ehgemus did a splendid job on it.

And no I am not worried. He has been a vendor long enough, it will get to me eventually. If he doesn't all I lose is 15 bucks.

And now the funds have been returned! Thats was super quick! I'm thankful there was still money in his paypal account to be returned

I do wish the vendor well, but fear something has happened. He's MIA on the group buy, and on other purchases, that I've been PMed about. If anyone hears anything, let everyone know!
