Sorry to see that the mode is not TEM 00. I was disappointed to see that it wasn't a perfect dot when I got it. I can assure you though, that the mode was REALLY worse when I had it. It was never a sold dot. They swift modes really often and shipping might have caused it to change once more. The only dpss i have ever owned that is TEM00 is from laserglow, a unit that was used in the making of movie Tron Legacy, and that might as well swift modes sometime.
DW about it, messing with the optics is a tricky task which I haven't tried myself.
The TEM could me really worse. IMO you are lucky.

Its OK Silvershot, I'm not disappointed it's still an awesome beam!

It may have shifted a bit in shipping, who knows. I might give the optics a good clean and see what it looks like then

Its my first DPSS other than a couple of 30nW green pointers. It definitely has some power, if i put a lens in front of the head and focus it to a point it can burn dark objects. My daughter thinks its beautiful too!.

The longest 5 second exposure I've ever taken. I knew that the lens flare couldn't hurt the sensor but it still made me cringe with a less than 3 month old camera.

87mw PHR-803T 405nm in a hotlights host. Even being relatively low powered it's still one of my favorite lasers. It has a really deep violet that is a royal PITA to photograph properly.

That camera... where do you people get these things that can spot the difference between ~5nm? regardless great pictures.

All the pics I posted were taken with my Nikon D90 DSLR. Honestly you don't need to drop a pile of cash on a DSLR to get good results. A tripod to keep it steady and using the self timer to allow any shake from pressing the shutter button help a lot. I got a pocketable Sony WX9 P&S for Christmas last year for times when I don't want to lug the D90 around and it takes shots that frequently rival my DLSRs. I'll have to try and post some samples from it sometime soon.

Unit only has 10 hours use on it and peaks at 400mW. comes in box with PSU and driver.

Got it for a steal!

Seller also sells from same brand 635nm and 532nm .... 635nm does 683mW and 532nm does 650mW (also with PSU and driver)

Got them from one guy, just one guy... selling them as they are (just 3 of them, RGB)

Let's just say i got the 473nm for $480
The others are even cheaper! =)
