The wait is nine tenths of the fun! Okay I don't really know that, I'm sorta just getting into lasers as of recent, and nothing has really arrived yet.

Can't wait for the ebay laser!

I think its crazy how the laser is in the order of hundreds of milli watts. Can you even get a low powered laser anymore!? :)

Even the pens are pretty overspec . Pman just got one from that seller and it metered over 100 mw. Now don't expect them all to be that good. This is just a good seller I ran into

Hey Dzarren....not trying to ruining the party and I know you're really excited for your laser!

;)

But...when it comes to Green Ebay Lasers, most of that power is IR(Invisible Light)...so you will not be seeing 100mW of green man.

It's all good! The infrared part of the electromagnetic spectrum is just as beautiful as the rest of it. Just not aesthetically speaking. :p

Are there green light filters? So i can take a shii-crappy quality green laser and have it emit just infrared?

I suppose that would just be a filter that blocked out visible light. 4000-7500 Angstroms i think.

Lol . Speaking from a person with some pretty strong lasers. This thing still impresses me. The price to power ratio ( even with the ir) is just awesome. But be warned. This is a proven gateway laser. Soon the eBay ones won't do it for you. Then you want the strong stuff!

You can just shine the laser through safety glasses for green wavelength . Then only ir will go through. But you won't really see it. This is a test to see how dangerous your laser is. You wouldn't want to run it like this for any other reason

I don't think there are only "green light" filters...

BUT I DO KNOW: There are visible light filters, blocks all visible light and only lets IR pass.

I don't even know what happened. Actually I know exactly what happened. It went as the following:

It was a foggy night, (this was like a week ago) I took out my 3 year old, original battery, no cap, broken button, <1mW red laser pointer and saw a pretty sweet beam. I thought to myself, "if someone was walking around outside, would they see a beam across their path? Or do i only see it because i am tangent to it's path?"

Also, i aimed the laser right out the front of my face, and it this weak beam went quite far. Then I noticed that the beam seemed to possess a very slight curvature. Then I realized this was due to the finite velocity of light.

And now I have NINE lasers on order.
Plus two pairs of goggles, and all sorts of buttons and filters and gadgets to supe-up said lasers.

IS THIS HOW IT WORKS? I DON'T KNOW IF I CAN KEEP UP WITH THIS.

Well......first the goggles?

What does each do? What wavelength do they block?

Lasers?
What kind are they and output?

You can't. I've had six lasers coming at once at one point. And these were very high power as you can see lol. Now the addiction has progressed. I know have a double diode 9mm coming in about a month. Lol 6w handheld! What have I become!

Well now!

I've ordered models LSG02 and LSG08 from dragon lasers.com
Which supposedly block out (190nm-548nm) and (190nm-450nm, 598nm-752nm) respectively. Note: there is NO infrared protection. For said wavelengths, they supposedly have an optical density of 4.5.

I have the Classic eBay "5mW" three pack coming.
one eBay green, which were are chatting about, as well as the same design, but in 405nm.

I ordered some mini keychain lasers, along with a 5mw green that i ordered before the three pack.

Another 5mw red, because the red from the three pack doesnt match the other two.

Thats it! For now...
