Three Diode by ARG






Nobody can see from a video to determine laser power... never. I can make 5mW look like 1W if I wanted

HOWEVER-- ARG is a well-respected member, and I paid close attention to his build thread for this one... it's 6W unless it broke during shipping.

What makes you believe its not as advertised?
 
It is a fixed optic , multi-diode laser which means it is not focusable. I believe it was LPM'ed before sending out to you, and It should be right on spec. 6W as claimed but please understand that the beams are wider and divergence is relatively poor. That is the only reason you're upset , Not judging you but you seem to have very little knowledge about how this setup works and you should have known better that is all i can say!
 
If you spent $1130 on that laser, you might as well get an LPM to verify its power if you're so skeptical.

Sorry it's not as impressive as you've expected, but I'm sure you did your research before you bought the unit?
 
I measured the output of each diode individually, it calculated to a combined 6W.

The buyer contacted me on June 3rd when he received the laser that it wasn't what he expected. To cover the bases I suggested he charge batteries, and make sure that the tail cap was screwed on all the way ect.
I provided my email to the buyer so that we could resolve this and I didn't hear anything via email or PM. The last I heard from the buyer was June 3rd.

Typically when someone buys something from me and says nothing, that means there is nothing wrong. I assumed the buyer had no issues with the laser after my suggestion to charge the batteries and check the tailcap.

If you have a problem with the laser you have my email, and you can contact me here by PM. If there is a problem with the laser I will fix it for free as I always do. I would have appreciated it if you followed up with me about this back when you first PM'd me. I was under the impression that you were satisfied the laser. I had no way of knowing :undecided:

Also, for everyone else's reference $980 was for parts, and $150 for labour which works out to around 1-3$ an hour (I didn't keep full track of how long I spent on this laser). I build these because I enjoy it, and I always hope the person who receives the laser enjoys it as much as I did building it.
 
you used ARGs video. i dont see any proof or any complaints here. I see someone who spent a boat load of money for a laser that Alex spent a SHIT TON of time building and now you are regretting your decision. Alex built a quality laser and spent a ridic amount of time on it.......you cant blame your spending spree on him and you have no proof for the non existent complaints you have.

BTW if its rubbish then i will send you $60 to cover shipping it to me and i will GLADLY take it off your hands

This seems like a classic case of expectations not meeting reality.

Did you expect the laser to be like a lightsaber and cut things on contact?

Have you tested the laser's output?

Have you researched how this laser is made, and how lasers in general function with regard to appearance, and cutting?

I'm guessing the answers to those questions would be Yes, No, No.

Until you do measure the output of the laser, and provide verifiable proof your claims are nothing more than the cries of a spoiled child.

I think that it could have been damaged in shipment,so I try contact ARG and explain to him,I do everything what he said,and as I remember the last contact that I sent beanshot to his e-mail and never get reply from Arg,so like everybody said in this forum that I am lack of knowledge and I dont want make the laser broken,I sent to someone pro in this forum to LPM my laser.and true the result not 6 w laser.

I paid $240 for the host(good host) ,$640 for diode etc,$150 for the fee and $100 for shipping fee from Canada to Indonesia.and pay full payment in the front.

Ps:sorry with my bad bad english,cant explain much,but I will try...
I have 2 laser from DTR,I compare with 2 w laser from DTR with this 6w laser the burning power not different.
My interest to buy this laser when I see 4,4 W laser vid from Arg,that can make fire when beam on white paper or napkin.but cant do with this 6W laser even I beam From 15 cm to the paper.so this just my reason to buy this laser,my hope just the laser can set on fire when contact on white paper or napkin like in his 4,4W video.

Hi I'm here to sell my laser. It measures 47W on someones LPM but I have no proof of that. 70000$

Pics or it didn't happen. Something this pricey would need a picture of the laser on the meter and not just some random graph
 
ARG never give proof the LPM too.
Like I said,I already sent the laser to laser pro in this forum,and he is a respected member too in this forum.He already LPM the laser no more than 2W.
I never complain with my 2 laser that I buy from DTR.(one I buy from DTR and the other one is Maglite monster from Jayrob but I ask DTR help to install the diode,and I am very happy with both the laser)
If this laser from ARG can set on fire like ARG said even just 4,4W not 6 W,I will not complain.

Ps:in the begining I am very trust with Arg,because of the comunication,but I start curiuos when the other ask photo for beamshoot on his thread about built 3 diode,he never post it.and I try to pm to ask him to give the beamshoot or video and he sent video the laser that dont show the capability to burn white napkin,he know that my interest is the power to set on fire on white paper or napkin.and than he closed the thread.then when I receive the laser here realy not different than my other 2 watt laser and cant set on fire on white napkin.Am I wrong have negatif thinking and not trust ARG after my experience with ARG?

Calling someone a liar with no evidence is rude and childish. If you insist that this "laser pro" remains anonymous, you've got more red coming your way.

There is most definitely a problem if it is only reading 2W on an LPM. One of the 9mm diodes alone should be lasing at over 2W.
I tested out the laser before sending you and it burnt white paper, just as the 4.4W laser did.
You requested a video showing the lasers burning capability, I showed it burning a piece of wood. I would have been more than happy to demonstrate the results on paper if it had been requested.

im pretty sure your red bars came from accusing Alex of selling junk when you provided absolutely zero evidence. you can check what people said on your red bars and see if my guess is correct
