This guy behind denodan account seems like a bunch of ghost accounts WL created back then, to try and boost their sales.
Obviously, they didn't realize that folks who lurk this forum are not particularly dumb, and we saw through all their bullshit right away. :tsk: Btw, its not the first thread i see by this guy that has "WL is not what it used to be" written all over it.
No offense tho lasersbee, you sound a bit arrogant with the "You are lucky I'm in an exceptional good mood this morning" deal. As if he cares if you -rep him.

I guess you can call me arrogant too then as I was thinking the same thing as Jerry. I have had this idea in my head for a long time. When we see a thread like this one why not just simply ignore it.

We could always hijack and derail the thread- The guys at PeeLee did that to me when I first joined that forum and had the stupid idea that PeeLee would be a super place to put up a GB thread on handhelds. < at first I got scolded by a few. then my thread became one whose subject was more about the weather and sports than lasers. My OP got buried as it should have been. In some ways it was a kinder way to handle my faux pas. In this case we could change this into a thread about laserjet printers.
This OP is trying to play us.
I can promise you that we(JL & I) will never sell him a JL Laser.

Not that that matters much as he has no intention to buy one.

We have a few laserjet printers at work and I always have to go fix them. POS! Can't wait till they s@#t the bed completly and I get to take them home :)
 
Thrift shops get tons of used printers- almost never with any ink left. As about the only way to test one and price it involves buying new ink they are almost all sent to recycle.
same often for flatbed scanners but i get the FS mirrors out and a few other parts.

I tried to make a desk light from the tiny cathode ray tube in these scanners and did get one to work--mounted it under my computer desk to light my key board- dumb idea!
these suckers and the PS get REAL HOT- they are on for only a few seconds when scanning so I guess they are just not built to take constant running.

A waste two hours working on the dumb idea..

One pretty cool item found in some of the older scanners is a FS poly spinning mirror usually six sides- some i had no luck making them spin but a few I was successful- they make a very clean line with a laser on them- so if you want a flat line Liquid Sky that works- but being static its not all that cool- once you get or build a PJ that makes moving, rolling Liq Sky and tunnel efx the hex spinning mirror is not all that cool.

O M G-- what have I done to this thread?? I am SO sorry........what were we talking about?

He was...Is actually.

Actually one of the most helpful and truly nice guy I've met around here. Great at sniffing out the spammers and scammers. Also helped me out several times.
 
I know he got banned for multiple accounts but can the mods let him create another account so he can continue to be with us?
 
Doubtful. It's been brought up several (many?) times before. There was more going on then just having more then one account. It's best we don't turn this thread into a "TJ" thread though. Those never end up well and sometimes get locked. :(

Just because one is banned doesn't mean they are still not lurking.

Okay, fair enough. I read a deep (emotionally) thread that he was contributing in when i was trying to find out why he got banned. It was about war and blood/guts and stuff and doing justice, etc. Almost brought a tear to my eye
