GB#1st of PL-E Pro Lasers and PL-E 2.0/3.0 Clearance - May 2013

Hello guys, hope you are doing great. I am here to start a GB for May 2013.

As we are releasing PL-E Pro series, we are going to start a GB for new PL-E Pro lasers and clearing the stocking PL-E v2.0 and v3.0 lasers.

For PL-E Pro series
It has additional features like safety pin, standard ac port, aperture cap, metal button, convertible barrel, standard tripod thread, etc. It is also a more robust model now.
Here is a general pic:


The planned GB prices for PL-E PRO is that:
PL-E Pro 532nm 150mW: 200$
PL-E Pro 532nm 300mW: 300$
PL-E Pro 532nm 500mW: 400$

10-30mW 473nm PL-E Pro: 300$

Sure we can also assemble some 520nm diode lasers in PL-E Pro as we are stocking & testing them.
PL-E Pro 520nm 50mW: 410$

Notes: A back-up barrel included free of charge, mostly the diamond knurling type.
Pls use a single 18650/26650 for PL-E Pro 532nm instead of two 16340s/18350 batts. It is more safe.

But if you wanna run it with ac adapter, 8V is okay. Two batts fully charged is bit high in voltage.

Clearnce units: PL-E 2.0 and PL-E 3.0
PL-E 2.0 in black finish, fixed focus. Metal Button(update). 15pcs in total
We plan to get them assembled asap, mainly in 532nm 300mW and 400mW, or 445nm 1W - 1.5W.
PL-E V2.0 300mW 532nm at 220$
PL-E V2.0 400mW 532nm at 300$
PL-E V2.0 1W+ 445nm at 200$

PL-E 3.0 in military grey finish, focus adjustable. Metal Button(update), 8pcs in total.
PL-E V3.0 532nm 150mW: 180$
PL-E V3.0 532nm 300mW: 300$
PL-E V3.0 532nm 500mW: 400$
PL-E V3.0 1-1.5W 445nm: 250$
PL-E Pro 520nm 50mW: 390$
10-30mW 473nm PL-E Pro: 300$/pc


The PL-E Pro shipment for this GB will come with a spare barrel, the case reducer for 18650/16340 to 26650, a piece of diffraction grating, a mousetail switch probably.
Batteries: 18650/26650/16340
To accelerate the shipping, usually we dont ship batts directly from China unless necessary - you can purchase 18650/26650/16340 batteries from Hak who stocked a lot in Texas.
UPS doesnot accept li-ion batts. Only EMS and DHL can ship batts now.

Shipping timeline
We can ship separately so as to minimize the time waiting. We dont have to wait till the GB is over.
If you wanna save some shipping cost, we can ship the laser to Hak first. He will ship from Texas.
If any of you cannot wait, we can ship it via UPS. we split shipping with you 20$ - UPS. 3-5 days arrival.

No, should be a diode, I think also from Osram.

AFAIK there are the 50mW 520nm and the 30mW 515nm: HL 520nm diode 30mW 50mW

I definitely want to get a pro 532nm 500mw for the 2.0 532mm 400mw but I need to sell my TIB 2.0 532nm 150mw (LPM'd @176mw) only 15 min. Of use, How much when I get if I was to do the trade-in?

Time for an upgrade

Oh I am not familiar with how trade-in usually goes but You can get what you paid for the upgrade but it might cost some $$ to ship it back to Hak. :tinfoil:

Its all the same-- JL has improved the payment options so this way is better.
There are a few Pl-Es with me and they too will be offered. Also I will add to this GB some Ti-Bs that are now on sale. This has started already with a post in JOG- I will copy that later today and add it in this thread.

ALSO as far as I know no batteries will or should be seny with lasers when the cross borders when shipped- so CONUS buyers can order tem to be shipped from Texas.
I always knew that Gray was a hard and dedicated worker so its no surprize that he has began this GB while the rest off china is on Holiday..

In order to see the biggest saving on these- you can snailmail me a personal check- once cleared your laser can be sent to be then to you or for a litle more and quicker delivery you can opt for direct shipping.

About the new green diodes- I have no doubts that the cost of these diodes will drop in time- WE ssaw this with the OHR and other 405s at the lower powers- My first true 5 mW 405 cost me 140$ and ATM that was
about the best deal going (Sunclan Lasers) The diode is not even a PHR but one that I doubt very many from LPF have ever seen. Sunclan told be it is being greatly under driven and it could be easily pot modded to make near 100mW..

So I would not look for JL to build any green diode lasers just yet.
BUT you never know- I hope I am wrong on this one.

I need to show this GB to arythna- Matt has benn itching for a JL 473 since GB #1 (& me to!)
These new hosts look great The work on the tube is very nice-- can't wait to see one in person- BUT most of all the pricing is the lowest you can find. JL and Gray want to launch the new line and get these out to be seen- tested-reviewed and enjoyed ASAP>

sure you want to part with your Ti-B??
There were very few as good as the one you have.
BUT If you must- just put it up in BS&T as there
are buyers wanting..

I will be doing graphs on all ten Ti-Bs I have here in stock-- take your pick- see one you like PM- to get dibbs- pay ASAP and it will be sent-- some still use the 14450- all others take the 16650-- all extras and shipping WILL be extra-- These are all new- covered by the warranty- only used for graphs. I will mae three graphs- all will be with fresh batt and 2 min long- since I recommend a duty cycle of less than 3 min - this should be what we can expect-running much more creates heat heat is not helpful for stability the pump diode or the internal driver.. Titanium makes a poor HS- the one inside is Al.

the price for any of these 532 TiBs is simple- I will use the highest average of these tests and you can pay JL(these are NOT MINE) 1$ per mW--
first up makes 125mW uses the 16650 red sanyo.

all the others will be higher or lower average or maybe even the same- if you have a good label maker or know where one is ( cant find mine ATM) you may want to print a label with JL TiB 532 then the average mW followed by your initials- you can send all this plus the date purchased to Gray via the forum PM JETLASERS or via the contact from at JL.org attention :Gray--

This GB will happen for you whenever you are ready Once those I have here are all gone I will get one or two more batches(~12 each)-- this time when they are gone there will be no more..

all the usual-- make a thread give honest review, .. post some pics, .. shoot Gray a few ++ and enjoy your JL laser ( There should be a 'S' at the end- its Jetlasers not Jetlaser-- )They may be another from china that uses the same name but without the S.(sneaky IMHO)
