That's why you use the special ingredient that doesn't eat it all up

Okey, but tell us what that ingredient is please, so we can use it:)

But one question remains, you must get rid of the old aluminum oxide,
and what eats up aluminum oxide but not aluminum ?

It's not going to eat no where near enough aluminum for it to be harmful to threads.

PM sent.

It did for mee, I must have used a solution that was to strong then cause
it realy was a lot of bubbles and the exposed treads did not fit at all like
before.

And it was pure aluminum, I used nitric acid to test that.

Bubbles? Like as in boiling water?

Your mixture was probably way too strong.

With caustic soda you should have something like 1 part soda to 20 parts water :p

Does this mixture also work for other type of anodizing ? The Hotlight and the Ultrafire C6 host do have a different kind of anodizing.

Are those hosts aluminum? I guess it's just one way to anodiz aluminum
so I guess it will work fine if it is aluminum.

Yeah, Should work fine with the c6. Be careful not to leave it in for too long though!

After de anodizing, could you paint the host with certain spray paints? Or does it have to be anodized or powder coated?

Aluminum can be painted but needs special paint. You can buy it for old Landrover and Rangerover vehicles which used aluminum panels. You can also dye it with special dyes (they do this for some rock climbing carabiners).

Anodising aluminum or titanium is surprisingly easy with even a small power supply, although some nasty toxic and corrosive chemicals are involved, just search YouTube.
