mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, (tzzzzzz)

um that burning noise was from the dog :). no mum i didn't burn the dog, that mark is paint.

woooooooooooooott it is here in my hands. br ftw already burned paper(white), me, wood, eraser(as in rubber eraser), leather, hair, kno3, plastic. also used one battery :(

so awesome once i get my dads camera when he comes back i will reveiw it :)
so small and compact. ski goggles make good eye protection :) it make things so much easier when burning. when r the custom lenses coming? hehehehemore power

Re: FS: >90mW Blu-Rays, two models: OPEN

Hehe, glad you like it Stan! :)

Looking forward to those pictures.. ;)

P.S. Were the undisguising instructions easy to follow? Oh, and was the package still closed, when you got it from Hugh?   ::)

Oh, and i shipped your drivers and some more torches (cos Hugh killed his - they need 1.5V not Li-Ion!) to your address last week. The drivers have stickers on the wires, saying what they are for and what they require. If you need any help, just let me know. All three are pot adjustable micro drivers from Rkcstr, so read his instructions. But i already preset the currents and wrote the ranges on them.

Re: FS: >90mW Blu-Rays, two models: OPEN

Hehe, well, doesn't matter, cos i shipped two more. ;)

These are the wrong torches, that were shipped to me when i ordered more of what i used for the prototype, so i don't really have a need for them. But they did lose me a **** load of money.. :'(

Hey guys I superimposed the dot of my IgorT laser and a 7 mW Greenie, and the result looked a lot like the dot of an Argon laser, Neat Color! A beam combiner could be worthwhile!

Definitelly.. I would also like to combine two 180mW 405nm beams, hoping to get close to 300mW..

I just hope i can find some time soon..

This has got to be the coolest laser ever. I think scopeguy put it best:

I don't remember ever having felt so good about making a deal for a laser (or several lasers) before.  Igor has got to be the best micro-assembler tech we could ever get lucky enough to have build violet lasers for us!  If I were rich, I'd fly over there just to shake your hand!

The colors alone are worth it, I can't stop shining it at white objects! I can even see a bit of the beam in my fully lighted room, I can't wait for night. So Igor, thanks for an amazing laser, I'll be sure to update scopeguy's review thread when I take some pictures (soon!).

Re: FS: >90mW Blu-Rays, two models: OPEN

I am considering to send my BR back to you Igor - to raise the current of course. :) Now the current is 125mA, but how high can you set it so that it still would be relatively "safe"? I can't get enough of this color, especially when I am slowly learning to focus my eyes on it.

You should start making blue lasers instead Igor - your last reply was the 473rd reply in this thread! ;D

I just got mine in the mail today! It took it's time getting to Texas, but so did the DX batteries and charger. They also came today. I haven't had a chance to turn it on yet or anything, but it looks great so far! The batteries are charging right now!

Great to hear you got yours too! Looks like they are being released more regularly now.
Good thing you got both at the same time! :)

I wish i could wait up long enough for you to put the batteries in.. But it's late, and i have a lot of work tomorrow.
If you have any questions, just write me an email, but i will have to respond tomorrow..

I hope you enjoy the laser very much Alex!

Oh, one last thing. I noticed a tendency for unscrewing the lens completelly, and then getting some dust in, or cleaning the diode window for no reason and making it dirty, or even losing the spring. Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't clean it, if it ain't dirty! ;)

Focusing requires very little turning! And dirt on the diode can decrease your power!

Under no circumstances use solvents, cleaning fluids or canned air! They all have impurities and make things worse! If you HAVE to clean something, use a small air blower pump made for this purpose, a clean fresh lens-pen is good for lenses, and for the diodes, it is best not to get anything on there in the first place!

If you do, i will give you special instructions on what to do.

Get used to the laser before switching the lenses and such. Just enjoy it for a while first. Have fun! :)

I undisguised it and the batteries charged really fast, too. It is amazing! It is like a violet lightsaber! I can easily see the beam. This laser is amazing.

Hehe, really glad you like it! :)

Did you tighten the module back into the head fully, after un-disguising? It's important for perfect heatsinking...

*sigh* i know. (the archanist cook book. personal notes, www.totse.com, hugh etc etc)

kno3 is a white crystal so u heat it by burning sumthing under it.

as for making the smoke bomb i nee my school's beasty scale to get the proportions right.

u wanna send me lots of chemicals? hehehehe
