They're kind of rare, but there are still a lot of them from Russia that you can buy from eBay. I bought an old HP power supply just for the Nixie tubes in it.

This is definitely a nixie tube, no doubt about that.

To get it to work, try if you can somehow determine which of the pins is connected to the mesh grid - it may be possible to actually see that.

To make a number light up, you need a DC power supply in the order of 200 volts and a series resistor of about 10kOhm. Connect the positive output through the 10k resistor to the mesh. Now touch the other leads and see which number is displayed.

Your tube seems to have 13 pins, so it will probably have digits 0 to 9, a . and someting else (perhaps a - sign).

If you cannot identify to what wire the mesh is connected, you can try connecting the power supply at random until you find it. I can't guarantee that no damage will occur if you apply this voltage between two cathodes, but if its they only way you have to figure it out, give it a go.

I found it in an exhibition that takes place once a year. soo bad to say now.
