Whatchya got?? :D

I know some people love to go totally overkill with their lights (Not that I'd call it overkill, more lights is always better :D

This year I'm using 15 metres of 60LED/metre RGB LED strip, split into 10x1.5m lengths with their own controller. I also have 4x 10W RGB floodlights, 39 metres of 600 LED string (1 LED every 5cm) and some little solar powered lights :D

All laid out for testing:

Installed (painfully!) on the front of the house:

Rest of the lights weren't up when I took the pic, but the neighbours are gonna hate me :D

Around 2000 LED's total, around 200W power consumption. Yay for LED's.

Now post yours! :D

Last year, when putting up lights, I fell off of the ladder.

I dislocated my left shoulder and right kneecap, and separated my right shoulder :(

This year I'll be leaving the displays to younger men ;)

Be careful!

Peace,
dave

Far out, yeah I can see why you've been discouraged a bit

Looking at them is all the fun though, other people put on a show for you :)

Of course I'd expect every laserist to have some sort of laser FX going for xmas. :D I'm exempt for this year because all my stuff is still at the old house :(

But should be here on the 24th of Dec, so still in time for xmas!! :D

Looks like a club.

Nice job man!

I've got no fancy lights so all I can do is wave my laser at the sky. Of course, I'll watch out for planes and potential hazards.

Coming up to the 1st of Dec I'll be able to get some pix of the full setup going, don't wanna give away my display just yet :)

Wow Dave that sounds pretty pain full I'll take your que and double check the ladder this year before going up.

Now turn the fan on I dare you

Seriously the front of your house looks really cool, good job, makes me want to paint my house a light color so I can do the same effect, my house is dark green.

Considered it, but decided the effort of unwrapping the mess from the fan and not having a fan for summer outweighed the awesomeness :p

That lighting is awesome Things, you should just keep it up year round

EDIT: You should also consider throwing a projector into the mix, it looks like you can shoot it at the side of your garage from that middle window by your front door(?)

I had a blast doing this at my old place last year, drew tons of attention from the neighborhood :D

I found these cool bicolor LED lights in a bargain bin at Canadian Tire the other day and had to pick them up. :D
