This from a man who sold 6X Blu-Ray lasers for $600+.

Sorry, but that was the most funniest thing I have ever seen you write.

LOL

Also, I have to disagree that greed is only a bad thing. We wouldn't be anywhere without greed. Isn't it greedy to want electricity, cars, and modern civilization?

I run a business which also happens to be none of yours ;)

I expected you could see the difference between killing for
profit, and forcing families from their homes to make ends.

There is quite the difference from that to charging what I feel
my time and quality of product is worth. Selling on Ebay is much
different from selling on LPF. While I offer the same quality, and
warranty, fellow members do not pay the 'Ebay price'.

There are members here who have bought perfectly good HeNe
tubes from me a couple years back for 5$. Yes I could have made
a healthy profit on Ebay, but chose to share the deal that I got
with members here.

What you are referring to, has noting to do with LPF...

Its similar to you're situation of sitting on your rump and spending
peoples tax dollars on you're lasers, internet connection, cable TV,
and what I can only imagine is a very full fridge

I work to put food on my table, pay my mortgage, and support
my family in general. I have been out of work also due to an injury
from a few years back. But before I accept any government cheese,
I will get off my ass and work like a man.

Like a man, I refuse any charity, and will break my back, as I have done
many times to bring home the bread.

Get it??

You know TJ, if you want one of my lasers, just beg..erm, I mean ask :na:

Explain. How is killing off animals, destroying the environment, poisoning people to mine lithium, blowing up mountains to get coal, razing forests for fuel and production centers, etc. not greedy?

So...if someone is on eBay looking for a gift for a family member they know is a laserist, it's okay to charge them an exorbitant amount just because they don't know about LPF?

What part of that post flew over you're head?

I have had people drop lasers in water, on cement, and even take them apart.
My prices reflect what it costs me to give an awesome warranty.

My builds are not kits, and are one off's. If you dont like my price than shop
elsewhere.

Selling to members on LPF, I should offer a 2 year warranty... Selling to
people on ebay carries much added weight and expense for other peoples
mistakes.

I have had many ebay customers who are very familiar with LPF also buy from me
on ebay.. But if its sold here, I trust that my products will be cared for
and have no problem lowering my prices.

Im not on ebay to make friends, hence the term business...

In the US.
Cruelty to animals-Illegal
Polluting the environment-Heavily Regulated
Poisoning people-Illegal
Blowing up Mountains-sweet
Razing forests-?

If a company breaks the law they should be punished. Beyond that a product is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If you price is too high someone will come along and undercut you. And if a consumer is unwilling to do their homework they will probably pay more.

Wrong. While some of those things may be illegal/regulated in the US, that doesn't mean that our greed as a society won't cause us to outsource to china, africa, etc where those things are not illegal/regulated just to get cheaper products. Chances are that any non-artificial diamonds you've bought were obtained through violent conquest of an african diamond mine. Do you know how many animals were killed by the building of the interstate highways, and continue to be killed by their use? Don't act like your lifestyle doesn't come at the expense of others. This is the definition of greed. And that's why I say greed is sometimes OK, because that's the way nature is designed to work.

What part of MY post flew over YOUR head? I didn't mention a warranty and neither did you, so where did that come from? Neither did end-user product damage come up at all...you said that you charge more on eBay to make money, plain and simple.... I also feel that you only charge as you do because you know that we know what products are truly worth.

wannaburn, from your post it only seems you are taking advantage of people who don't know better because you can. "warranty" does not justify that price..

I am sorry I am not willing to turn into a third world country and let countries like China who will continue doing what they are doing reap all the benefits of a booming economy. I hope this guy died with a clean conscious at least. It is a real smart car.

When I was paying over 100$ for a drive yes it is.

I had bought sleds from scopeguy that all died at 190mA.. and less.
I sold 3 at that price all from drives, with a full 1 year warranty in
hosts that cost near 40$

You dont pay my bills, nor know the details. But I enjoy reading
all of the guessing that comes with some of these posts...

Pontiac is correct, you were banned for having four accounts, that's no grudge that's fact, a fact about a blatant violation of the Terms of Service for LPF, I was unable to find the thread with all this information as it's been deleted, so of course there's just my word against yours, and anyone else who saw the thread. Don't act high and mighty.
