Oh, and since it seems we are lacking some good 6x sled pictures, here they are. This is the complete 6x sled from the GGW-H20L minus the diode and the final optics before the disc. Note the large heat sink where the blu-ray diode would be.

Hope that helps everyone out. How long until the supplier starts using these shots? ;D ;D

I don't have a 4X/6X sled in front of me any more.  I harvested them and tossed them.  However, this sure does look familiar

Guys I just went through 48 pages of posts could not find pictures of the 4x sled. :-/

Could someone please post pics of the 4x sled back side with cover remove to show the optics.?

Before you removed the blu-ray diode was there a heatsing for the blu-ray diode like the one on the 6x?

So the sleds are the same, but the blu-ray diode is NOT? :-/

I try to convince my supplier that they are NOT the same and having difficulty. ;D :-/

Yeah, i had difficulties too.


Tell them this:
We 6x laser make with 4x lens it break! 4x lens not be same 6x as diode! 6x lens need we!
4x lens look same 6x lens, but 4x diode 6x not!


I think that should do the trick.. :

No there wasnt the extra H/S, thats one of the constant pysical differences.

No there wasnt the extra H/S, thats one of the constant pysical differences.

You mean the extra fins in the upper left corner of the pictures? I think Amk mentioned that was IR heatsink or something?

The 6x has additional fins behind the BR diode, the IR is the same on both a 6x and 4x ie no H/S aside from a small H/S smaller than a 803's

There should be the same difference with your GB 4x and your true 6x
