There is a laser shop rigth next to my flat who has a GLP-III-532 with a 1000mW (1W!!!) output --> roithner-laser

I MUST check out this shop in the next days

WOW, all of that from one laser shop? That's amazing, I wish we had laser shops like that in the US :(

For anyone wondering, the handhelds (including the claimed 1W green) start on page 92. Although I'm pretty sure the "GLP-III-405" and some of the 808nm lasers are falsely listed as DPSS systems.

Roithner is not a shop, its more of a warehouse with all kinds of opto-electrical devices.

I noticed that they had a 200mW pen style laser? I thought that was impossible due to cooling issues? correct me if im wrong.

Its just that the 'pen' sized crystals will rarely ever yield more than 150mw CW. Peaks above 170mw are common, but a pen friendly sized Nd:YOV4 will simply not lase that much.

UPDATE

I visited roithner-lasers last week, it isn´t a shop, more than a office who sells and test lasers and all that goes with it. I talked to a nice guy there and asked him a few laser related questions, got very professional answers. We were shining around with a 20mW 635nm compared to a standard 20mW 650nm. Next week they´re getting the 589nm and 593.5nm GLP, I´m for sure going to check them out and decide if I´m going to safe for one of those wavelengths.

Maybe I´ll also get the chance to test the 1W 532nm handeheld if anyone here is interested!?

I've bought a lot of stuff from Roithner before. It's awesome that you live next to them... It's where I've gotten some of my red VCSEL diodes, and a bunch of my really unique frequency LEDs. (Like my ZnSe raw-white non-phosphor-white LEDs.)

They're very nice folks. And they supply lots of cool stuff.

I actually may talk to you in the future to talk to them, if that's okay!!

If you do.... you better not drop it at $3,753.61 USD....:cryyy:

Perhaps in the title of the thread has been omitted the term 'portable' ;)

Wow. Anyone notice that they sell Blue (445nm) laser diodes?

LD-445-50PD, 445 nm, 50 mW, 60 °C, 5.6 mm, with photodiode $4.702,25
Really expensive though. :(
