Any way to use a beam expander with it? The divergance on that diode is really bad but the output is incredible so if I could use my sanwu be somehow I would so buy it !!! If I can get the Divergsnce under control it would be an amazing laser

thank you i event built a red in a while.
@Paul,
Yes a RED 501B goes with the 638nm WL nicely.

@ Alex,
I can make an adapter to slide over the heat sink for the Sanwu 3X.
Ok here you go i had made one for those small 14500 EDC hosts , So i tried it and this adapter is a tad large in the ID but fits when the set is tight.
and i does bring the divergence down to a dot ..

I was surprised at what it did to the beam profile also , not to bad on curbing the divergence issue for a 638nm beam.
@ Paul,
I haven't made a RED in a long time so with the BE it willl look cool and the 3X size don't look awkward on the host.
