Possibly adding set screw to the stock pill to hold the heat sink in place. This way it won't have to be glued.
I'll have tom check the wall thickness of the pill, But this would make the build easier....

Ah sry i've been crazy busy at work! Saturday i was drunk and today we've been running a lot of calls. I just got back from a mother/daughter who hit 3 cows at 60mph in their small passenger car. they weren't too bad though

I'm new to builds, could i put a green module in this?
What work would i have to do to finish it (soldering?) Any specific size of module?

Yup if you check DTR's review it's very thorough and will tell you just about everything you need to know.

I will take one! These look great. Im assuming paypal will work? How quickly do you think one will be available? If soon I could transfer funds now.


Edit: Will this work with the module soldered directly to the diode? Its the micro boost so its tiny.

I'll add you to the list and PM about payment when one is available. I have a separate order coming up that will take up a good chunk of my time. I am going to try and get this first batch done tomorrow in preparation for this other order. Hoping to have it done within a week or two....So these may be put on hold for just a little bit. But once I'm back to them i plan to have them in stock and available all the time. I'll be able to make a bulk order instead of 5 or 10 at a time.

I would really prefer the setscrew option if that is possible as would most I would assume

yeah if the set screw is possible, they will all use it. It just never dawned on me to do that until DTR mentioned it.

tracking still shows the package in KC instead of here in windsor, mo
but then again it never even showed up on tracking until it hit kansas city and it was shipped from new york. So i'm hoping it's in town and going to be delivered here in a couple of hours.

Oh wow.....Columbus day = FAIL.

I'm so tired of the USPS using any excuse they can not to work....it's not even a real holiday!

Guess we'll have to wait for them to arrive tomorrow.
I've got about all the focus adapters made. I did have plenty of heat sinks but with the set screw idea i made have to remake them. Depending on where i'm forced to place the set screw on the pill i may have to make them with a lip long enough to reach it.
