I need to stay off the online sales places. I'm spending to much on useless lasers (ahaha not) just to have them beaming over head so I can blow smoke in to them, very relaxing.

I've noticed a lot of people come here thinking they pulled the wool to get help building their death laser. Good thing it's not as easy as slap a driver on a diode, and takes and understanding of the physics to make.

I've become an addict for techhood on the bay. Just got some custom built 488nm fat beams modules ordered. 488nm recommended by a patron here.
You can play with a laser, burn a "edited for sensitive eyes", and work on a motorized bike at the same time. Used a pen for a chain alignment tool. Smoking strokers and !&%!:$ since Moses was a boy.

Work, ugh, but it buys da laser beams.
I've started using all the modules and extra diodes I bought, to make a laser show box. I have plenty of little dc motors around. Already figured out how to make some huge freaking beams when I was playing with Nichia 08's.
I've now added a 515nm-520nm fat beam to my collection. SO SWEET!
I am now the proud owner of a 200mw-250mw( 250mw driver, cranked all the way up, so maybe a little more or less, don't have an lpm yet) 635nm. It's like a baby little tiny burner.
I have completed 3 pen builds, 405nm 150mw, 445-450nm 4000mw, and 532nm 100mw. While burning things at 10 feet while lying in bed is rather cool, I much prefer the 532nm pen. Not only is the 532nm the brightest of the three, it's just really a sweet color.
