Yellow pointer *Beam shots added*

How about a yellow pointer.....in fact a yellow/red/green pointer for around $40?

Ingredients:-

2 of the large cubes from PS3 sleds (scrub that, use the lens filters instead )
Copper wire
super glue and araldite
and one of these from DX http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.12338

.....oh and access to a lathe

Quite rightly........

Intresting thing about the greenie in this, it is pulsed so moving the pointer around gets you a red and yellow dotted line

I wondered if anyone would notice My camera makes the dot look a lot more spackley than it appears to the eye.

Only trouble so far is I ran the batteries down whilst setting it up and I haven't any spares :'( so not sure what the final yellow will look like).

Why two cubes, to get rid of aligning a mirror or something else?

It was just a convenient way of bending the green and atenuating it, as the splitter cubes put out 2 beams of green it cuts down the intensity to more nearly match the red.


Glad you like it, I will try to get some beam shots tonight, once I have made an adaptor to connect it to my power supply (batteries flat).
