Red lens goggles, Blue/ Green blocking

I still can't get more of the yellow lens goggles, but these red lens goggles offer good protection for 405nm through 532nm, and so are of interest to many using 405 nm and 445 nm at under 600mW in general. Please remember they will do little to nothing for yellow, red, or IR.

I do not claim these are OD rated or advise them as ideal for ultra high output lasers where c/b more appropriate with protection from others such as LaserGlow or OEM Laser Systems, and like a motorcycle helmet is not designed to intentionally run into a brick wall, I advise against taking a direct hit or reflection from a shiny or mirrored surface through these, but it is helpful, and better than no protection at all. Of course using any laser with sober and careful planning and diligence is the most important part of protecting your eyesight.

He missed the decimal. I'm sure domestic shipping on these is ~$2.75.

I was quite impressed with them. While Glenn was here we set up my 473nm (blue) just to play with. After he left, I thought to test the goggles on it. They reduced 120mW of blue down to 20mW!

Green and red pretty much passed through unimpeded.

These appear to be very useful for "casual" use. I have not tested them to see at what power the dyes might begin to break down, but they show no changes at 150mW levels. I'll break out some higher powered violets later and edit this post.

These are very light. The ear pieces are adjustable for length to aid in a good secure fit. The lenses are large and "wrap around" to protect from accidental "side" shots. These are my new "favorites" for just playing around the house/field and for setting up experiments.

At only $10 each, these would also be good as "guest" goggles when a friend or relative stops by.

Would these be suitable for blocking 405nm to better see fluoresce? Also, what's the shipping cost to Norway?

They work BEST with 405nm (violet).

405nm = 135mW reduced to 2mW
473nm = 120mW reduced to 20mW

As ScopeGuy20 mentioned, they work very well for observing fluorescence. The "blaze" of the laser is reduced to the point that you can see the more subtle color of the fluorescence.

USA shipping about $2.75 I guess I missed the decimal point there! Sorry! Norway $4.80 Most of EU also about $4.80 for shipping.
 
I'm waiting for my bluray in the mail still. I guess I need a pair of these. will send pm.

i might pick up a pair of these soon.
any chance of cheap green laser goggles also?
 
have similar glasses, tested them extensively, and find them absolutely suitable against 405nm. if i didnt have some already, i would get these from scopeguy.

everyone with more than 20mw of 405, get some of them! dont forget visiting friends, right? at such a price, no excuses accepted!
