What are the specs on the motors ? Are they stepper motors ? Where did you get them, and why haven't you shared ? LOL !!! Tell us/me more ! :D

That sure looks like a stepper motor with all the leads. You may need a polyphase driver to control the,m.

That looks pretty good :)
I am intrigued about how you connected, what look like, 6 wire stepper motors to a 2 wire source.

* I have some small stepper motors somewhere, I must dig them out and have a play* ;)

i used 2 of the wires of each of the motors. one motor is left  the other is the right chanel off the stereo. and made brass springs to make the motor bounce back to center  :)

nice! ;)  which wires on the stepper did you hook up to yur stereo?

in my case it was the blue and green it might be differnt on other motors

Very interesting ---
What did you connect the wires to as a power source -- DC or audio ??
Did the mirror rotate or vibrate ??

Mike

HEY K-9
I want those mirror motor things, so don't hold out on us ::)

Can you tell us if we can get some and if so where. who, price??

And thats some fine engineering, you did ;D

i got them from a guy on ebay chachavessel ayear ago he still there but dont no if thay are the same ones. as for the enginering it was what i had laying around and it worked :)

K-9,
I meant I liked the simplicity and sucsess.

I got a ideas for you:

Try some transformers you have laying around. You might get better impedance match
for more mirror movement. Also use a the centertap if your motors have one.
Most transfomers and stepper motors come that way.(you should have continuity on 3 leads of the motors times 2)

Cheers [smiley=beer.gif]
